Back in the 1800’’s to around 1914, Peoria was known for having over 70 distilleries in the area and it led to the Peoria’s nickname of the “Whiskey City.”
There’s a distillery in downtown Peoria but it’s a different kind of distillery than what Peoria had in the past. This is a distillery of ideas, innovation, entrepreneurship, modern business and forward thinking.
The name of this distillery that was established in 2020 is Distillery Labs and they’ve been kind enough to offer us a tour, so let’s head to downtown Peoria and have a distilling afternoon adventure!
Here we are at Distillery Labs on the corner of Adams and Fulton in beautiful downtown Peoria. It’s an impressive looking building, let’s go in and see what’s happening inside.
They are open and the public is welcome!
I went in and saw the front desk and then met Jeffrey Inman who’s the Director of Workforce Solutions for the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council and is our esteemed tour guide today.
Great to meet Jeffery, now let’s take a look around in here.
The Cafe Santa Rose Coffee Shop has a coffee station in here with coffee, tea, water and pastries. There’s lots of comfortable chairs and tables to relax at in this front area of Distillery Labs.
The general public is welcome to come in and enjoy the coffee, pastries and relaxing lounge atmosphere of this spacious and luxurious front room.
Back here are communal tables for meetings and offices including gener8tor and a conference room.
Further back is an industrial kitchen that can be used for businesses looking to utilize a space like this for custom food cooking and preparation. It’s also a nice lunch room for tenants of Distillery Labs!
They have a state-of-the-art podcast studio in here and Strictly Hip-Hop 90.7FM broadcasts from this studio.
There’s more rooms down this hallway including a photo and film studio, Shothawk Protective Systems and another conference room..
Let’s take the elevator up to the second floor in here.
More spacious meeting and lounge areas await you up here on the second floor.
The in-house office and conference areas for Distillery Labs are located down this hallway.
I can’t believe all the space and the rooms that are located in here! If you’re interested in a space here at Distillery Labs, here’s a link for the pricing structure of different offices and work areas.
There’s also ongoing events that happen here at Distillery Labs and you can check those out by clicking on this link.
The wall to wall windows up here provide a wonderful view of beautiful downtown Peoria!
As we were finishing up our tour, we ran into Jennifer Rosa who’s the Community Concierge at Distillery Labs. Jennifer is also a partner in Pretendly and here’s her personal website, Jennifer Rosa. Check out this WTVP segment featuring Jennifer and her family’s Pretendly business.
Thanks to Jeffrey for this tour of this unique and wonderful idea and innovation distillery in downtown Peoria! If you’d like to have a tour of Distillery Labs, then just click here.
