One snacking option we haven’t explored yet for this series of snackery eating is frozen food snacks.
Well, we’re exploring that option today, so let’s head over to the frozen food aisle at Schucks!
And through the miracle of these here interwebs, here we are in the frozen food snack aisle.
Let’s choose some snacks and head back to the MBIP World Headquarters Snacking Area and prepare and try four frozen snack items!
——
Frozen Snack Item One: Jack’s Pull-Apart Pizza Sticks
They have a bunch of different styles of these Pizza Sticks and I chose the Pepperoni.
We’ll cook a pair of these up in the microwave.
The pizza sticks are joined at the hip and you have to pull them apart to eat them. It kind of makes me think of a pair of Italian Siamese twins.
Okay, this is quite a disappointment.
This doesn’t taste like pizza at all, in fact there’s no flavor to these doughy things what-so-ever. Completely bland and tasteless. Let’s just move along here and I’ll never spend money on these things again!
——
Frozen Snack Item Two: Farm Rich Stuffed Buffalo Cruncher
These have a diagram on the back of the box explaining exactly what they are: They have a crispy, golden coating, gooey mozzarella and they are topped with spicy buffalo sauce.
Hooray!
You have to cook these in the oven and so in they go and about 11 minutes later, here they are fully cooked and ready for our snacking, fine-tuned analysis.
They are crunchy and filled with gooey cheese and the buffalo hot sauce has a little zing, but it’s mainly just heat. These are better than the pizza thingys, but just a so-so snack item.
Let’s keep moving along here!
——
Frozen Snack Item Three: Snapps Appetizers Mac n’ cheese bites
This is kind of piddling around here, but shouldn’t the apostrophe be before the “n” in “Mac ‘n Cheese”, like this? Sadly this will bother me all day.
Once again these need to be oven-cooked and in they go and six minutes later they are done and plated in the MBIP World Headquarters Snacking Area.
These are crunchy on the outside and filled with Mac ‘n Cheese (apostrophe placed correctly here), but they are void of any kind of flavor or taste.
This is an unacceptable snack item and time to keep moving along to the next and final snack offering of this day.
——
Frozen Snack Item Four: Smucker’s Uncrustables
I thought we’d end this week’s snack sampling with a sweet treat and I chose these Smucker’s Uncrustable Chocolate Flavored Hazelnut Spread Sandwich Snacks.
The directions say to just let it thaw and then, just like Weird Al Yankovic, you can eat it.
I decided to cheat and put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
I also got a jar of this Milk Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Sauce and I heated that up in the microwave oven.
Then I poured it on top of the Uncrustable sandwich and dug in and took a bite and it was so sweet and a taste-filled delight!
The bread was super-soft and filled with a creamy chocolate hazelnut filling and the melted chocolate sauce on top added a warm and sweet layer to this delicious snack item!
The first three were kind of bland disappointments, but this last one is simply snacktacular!
Glad we ended this on a delicious and tasty note! This was a nice rebound!
Have a great Friday and happy snacking everyone!
