Before we begin today's post, I'd like to welcome the newest member to the MBIP Bucket List Brigade, the wonderful wood-fired bistro in the heart of the Warehouse District in downtown Peoria: Sugar! We've had lunch there and we've cooked Gumby's goose in there as well, so it's a pleasure to welcome them aboard the MBIP Bucket List! And now, back to today's post, already in progress!

I think it’s time to let our fingers do the walking and take another Yellow Pages trip. We’re up to the letter “F” and I found this while perusing the telephone pages that are yellow:
I love Flea Markets, you never know what you might find in one. Maybe a Red Hot Chili Pepper? You never know till you go, so let’s head over to Creve Coeur and check this place out!
We're off on a sunny mid-summer afternoon. I really need to get some prescription sunglasses, it's just too bright out here.
One thing that sucks about going to Creve Coeur is the anxiety-riddled trip over the bridge.
Okay, we survived the white-knuckled bridge trip and I've just parked to find this sign in front of the store. Looks like we just made it here in the nick of time.
As you can see from the outside, this is a spacious flea market.
Let's go in and see what's happening inside of here.
Wow, this place is packed with items, we can have quite a little treasure hunt in here.
This is Jim, who owns the store. He's been in business for twelve years and says that he's closing because of the economy has hurt his business. A sad but common tale these days. And a reminder to shop local and support business owned by your neighbors. Jim said I was free to wander around and take photos and so it's off we go!
There's something you don't see every day...
A doll crafted in the image of an angry young Robert Blake. Dat's da name of dat tune!
Okay, this is just beyond creepy, a family of nude dolls in a plastic bag. Definitely going to have nightmares after staring at this for three and a half minutes.
What do you do when you're stranded and you can't find a roll? The answer can be found by clicking right here.
A painting on a saw. That's something you don't see every day and there's a good reason for that, saws really aren't meant to be used as a canvas for paintings. But hey, live and let live is the MBIP motto, but we're going to move on here.
Northwoods Mall memory alert, Part One: The Search For Gumballs!
I may get this and cook up some non-cheeseburger hamburger recipes in the future.
These might come in handy for our Year Of Pizza leftovers.
Obligatory flea market mirror shot!
There's lots of books in this room, let's go check them out.
This book brings back memories of Michael O'Donoghue's Tony Orlando Impression on SNL.
Lots of books about tears in here, I think it's time to cue up John Waite.
I think I'm going to purchase Nurse Averil's Ward, she looks like she'd be a good companion to the Nude Doll Family.
Northwoods Mall Memory Flashback number two: The Answer To This Joe Walsh Album.
Speaking of albums, let's take a gander at these LP's over here...
Peaches & Herb, they're still together! In fact it looks like someone has super-glued Peaches head to Herb's left cheek.
Englebert Humperdink: "A Man Without Love." That kind of takes the "hump" out of Humperdink, doesn't it? So sad!
Charlie Rich: "There Won't Be Anymore." Well now this is just straight up depressing, let's move away from the album section before I get suicidal over here!
Let's look at these 8 track tapes, maybe I can find something to take to Phil Luciano's garage.
Perfect!
Northwoods Mall Memory Moment number three: Double Trouble.
I'm up here at the front counter to make my purchase and I think I'll get that little pocket knife in the middle of the case.
Here's my purchases for the day: The pocket knife, Nurse Averil's Ward, the creepy Nude Family Dolls, the Hamburger Cookbook and the Phil Luciano 8 track tape. A pretty decent haul and the whole thing cost just six bucks. And I think that middle nude child is the perfect thing to...

Bonus Pimpin’ From Jaws the Cabbie
Jaws the Cabbie sent in this vintage photo/artwork of his pimpin’ ‘70s tan suit. Nice! Thanks, Jaws!
