Today’s Sunday Snapshot is a photo I took three years ago on October 18th, 2012. It was a really weird and emotional day for me. I was flying back in a plane to Peoria, Illinois, moving back to the town I grew up in after living in New York City for 19 years. Here’s the photo:
And here’s the link to the post where I put that photo up: Goodbye NYC...
It’s hard to believe that I’ve been back here for three years now! And on December 10th of this year it’ll be three years of doing the MBIP blog! Doing the blog and meeting all the people I’ve met because of it has been nothing short of amazing!
I really and truly want to thank all of you who read the blog and even more so, all of you who I’ve met because of the MBIP blog. I’ve made some really great friends and met so many interesting people via this blog and It’s really kind of mind-rattling! Some are people I’ve met and had a nice few moments with and we may never see each other again, others have been life-changing friends that have really added so much to this chapter of my life.
I also want to thank lots of my old friends that I’ve reconnected with since moving back. It’s been great seeing all of you again. Life isn’t an easy road at all, but when it’s paved with interesting people that you care about and they care about you too, it sure helps the journey through it. I feel pretty lucky about my friends that are on board with me for this strange and sometimes bumpy ride.
So anyway, on this third anniversary of my arrival back in Peoria, I sincerely want to say thank you to all of you. Thanks for reading and being part of MBIP and thanks for the friendship. I love all of you and thanks for making these last three years really interesting, kooky, special and fun times! Now onto year number four! Hoop-dee-do!
