On July 28th, at 2:22PM, I happened to see this post from MBIP pal, Mollee over at Moxie’s ReSale Boutique:
After that I became obsessed with seeing these adult coloring books. I dutifully kept checking the Moxie’s page until last Tuesday when this post went blazing through the interwebs via facecrack:
Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Let’s get over there before she sells out of these! To the MBIP Mobile we go!
And we’re off! It’s a straight shot down Sheridan Road to...
Moxie’s ReSale Boutique! This is the first time I’ve gotten a shot of the entire store in one frame. I had to stand out in the middle of Sheridan Road and almost got run over, but I got the shot and that’s all that counts! And no, there’s not a Moxie’s sign above the building, I put that in myself. It’s fun to play God at the hands of Photoshop! I love it!
Mollee always has great front window displays and check it out, they’re open!
Not me! I’m still enjoying summer!
Okay, it appears we’re welcome and let’s just take a moment to enjoy this unplanned front door obligatory mirror shot. Okay, let’s go inside now.
I think I see a familiar face over there across the racks of clothes in here...
It’s Moxie’s owner, Mollee! And she’s looking super-cute in her Moxie’s t-shirt! It's always fun to stop in here and visit with Mollee!
And I always love to check out what kind of cowboy boots she’s got on. They never fail to disappoint and I love the boots she’s got on today. T is for Tennessee...
Volunteers, which is one of Mollee’s favorite football teams. I had no idea who they were because I’m an idiot when it comes to sports, but the boots are fabulous!
There’s more cowboy boots on this shelf up here, Moxie’s always has a decent inventory of cowboy boots on hand.
Here’s some hats to go along with those boots.
And of course there’s racks of clothes in the main body of the store.
There’s more boots and accessories on this island over here.
The inside window displays are just as colorful and entertaining as the outer ones are. I love it!
Custom Moxie’s jewelry is on display over here but these fake finger nubs are kind of freaking me out, so let’s just keep moving along!
There’s more jewelry over here and no disturbing fake finger nubs, so that’s a relief!
Every time I come in here I find items I never would’ve guessed would be for sale in here and this is no exception, check out the vintage suitcases! Too cool and if you’ve got a summer vacation coming up and need to get packed up, stop in here and you’ll be all set!
Moxie’s is connected to 309VIP, when you check in you...well, I’m not totally sure what you get. Check out the website to learn more. I checked in and found out I get a 10 percent discount soon and will be alerted to specials here at Moxie’s!
This room is something new I hadn’t seen before here at Moxie’s. Mollee told me it’s the Moxie’s Vintage Room. Let’s go have a look!
Mollee is feverishly straightening the shelves before I take a picture!
Okay, it’s all straightened up and look at all the cool vintage items here!
Here’s some cuff links and tie pin next to a beautiful pocket watch.
These shoes are really cool!
Check out this vintage TV set in here, I’m guessing it’s from the ‘50’s!
I love this dictionary! It’s handy, American and illustrated! I must have it!
Here’s Mollee showing a leisure suit from the ‘70’s. She told me it reminded her of Johnny Cash and I agree!
Okay, we kind of lost track of why we came here and that’s easy to do in Moxie’s once you start having a fun chat with Mollee and looking at all the treasures in here! But let’s check out the adult coloring books that just came in here, Mollee said they’re over here in this display case.
And here they are, they look really cool and there’s only three left. Mollee said they’ve been flying out of the store, but...
She held a couple back for me. I asked her for the Hipster Coloring Book and the Nature one with the owl on the front of it and here’s Mollee showing them behind the counter.
Okay, here’s my pile of treasures from Moxie’s on this trip! The coloring books come bundled with a set of colored pencils. I’m going to be doing some coloring in the next couple of days and on Saturday I’ll have a showing here of some of my works in Part II of this post, so stay tuned for that!
Hey, how did that get there? Thanks to Mollee for another fun tour of Moxie’s and we’ll see you all tomorrow! P.S. Mollee’s on a road trip, so Moxie’s is closed today and Saturday. Hannah will be in this Friday though, if you want to get your mitts on one of the three remaining adult comic books!
