I was first introduced to Spy Magazine in the late ‘80’s and it reminded me somewhat of the old National Lampoon magazine but it was more New York influenced.
I really liked the writing style and it was an influence on me to start my magazine People of Peoria which was eventually called POP magazine. Ironically by doing that magazine I ended up living in New York for 19 years and now I’m publishing six links to Spy Magazine which had a resurgence with the 2016 Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton campaigns for Presidency.

Yesterday the temperature got into the mid ‘50’s weather-wise, so I took advantage and spent a Saturday afternoon at Lou’s Drive-In in East Peoria for a taste of summer in January which you can read about tomorrow.
Tuesday we continue the 13 month chicken tour and I’m making a stop at Slim Chickens in East Peoria to sample all of their sauces!
Wednesday will be a look at the Steve Spain Walt Disney collection on display at the Peoria Riverfront Museum that I blogged about over a year ago, but who’s keeping count. Oh, it appears I am.
Thursday I’m going to do the second Peoria After Dark episode and hopefully it’ll be better planned than the first one, but I can’t promise anything as I haven’t thought of anything for it yet!
Friday will be another look back in time with a Retro Photo Friday blog.
Saturday will be week number three of the beard update and then we’ll be right back here where we started!
