I thought I’d Americanize a popular Mexican treat today by combining cheeseburger flavors to two different styles of tacos. I also have some corn I’m going to spice up and this week we’re having dessert here on this edition of Thursday Minute Marty Meals!
Let’s get cooking!
The ingredients for this meal are (clockwise from left): Kraft American Cheese Singles, yellow and white corn, taco seasoning mix, Dole shredded lettuce, French’s Yellow Mustard, Old El Paso Green Chili, Old El Paso Tortillas, Ground Chuck and Old El Paso Spicy Cheese Taco Shells.
We’ll also be using some ingredients from the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen.
First we’ll start browning the ground beef on a medium high heat in this pan.
While that’s browning we’ll mix up the taco seasoning with water, hot sauce and some minced onions.
Now we’ll drain the grease from the beef and…
Put the beef back in the pan and add the taco seasoning and mix it up.
Now it’s time to add some cheeseburger flavor to the beef.
We’ll squirt in a liberal dose of French’s Yellow mustard and add in some slices of Kraft American cheese and let them melt into the savory mixture. Then we’ll shake in some spicy chili powder for a little heat and zing.
Wow, it tastes great and I could eat it just like this, but we’ll keep moving along here.
I thought we’d have both a soft and a crunchy taco. In addition to the soft tortilla, I got these Bold Spicy Cheese Taco Shells, they should add a nice flavor to the meal.
We’ll put them in a 325 degree pre-heated oven to warm them up for about five minutes.
Next we’ll transfer the seasoned and cheesy ground beef mixture to another pan and add just a little bit of the green chili for a little more Mexican flavor.
I’m going to warm the corn up in the pan so it can pick up some of the flavor from the ground beef mixture
I’m also adding hot sauce, minced onions, black pepper and a little bit of green chili to spice it up a little bit.
Time to start putting this meal all together!
I’ve filled the tortilla and taco shells with the cheeseburger beef mixture and added some lettuce as well. I decided to put a scoop of the ground beef into the corn to add another dimension of flavor to the side dish.
Okay, time to plate up this week’s Thursday Minute Marty Meal!
The Mexican Street Corn was spicy and very tasty, a nice start to the meal!
The soft taco was very good, but it was no match for…
The crunchy taco! This was so tasty!
That shell has a ton of spicy flavor and compliments the seasoned and cheesy ground beef perfectly!
Really delicious and satisfying!
We haven’t had a dessert for a couple of weeks, so this week I got a package of Stroop Waffles, warmed them in the microwave and added put a little tub of Ben and Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream on top!
This was a sweet treat to end a wonderful meal!
Now it’s time to enjoy this week’s titillating photo montage: Women eating tacos!
Okay, time to do the dishes! We’ll see you all mañana!
