The band Blondie cut their teeth in New York City in the ‘70’s playing at venues like CBGB’s and Max’s Kansas City alongside The Ramones, Talking Heads, Television and the New York Dolls.
In 1978 Blondie released the album, “Parallel Lines” produced by Mike Chapman. 40 years ago on April 28th, 1979, the fourth single from that album, “Heart of Glass,” hit the number one spot on the Billboard Charts and suddenly the band were transported from CBGB’s and the New York punk clubs to bigger venues across the country and international popularity.

And of course below that are the Coming Attractions for the upcoming week here on MBIP!
