Last Friday was the first day of summer for this year of 2019. Fifty years ago it was the beginning of the summer of 1969, which was quite an eventful summer, just ask Bryan Adams!

After a brief break last week to work on the upcoming Marty Monologues show, we’re back with a whole week of new and fun posts! Here’s what’s going to be going on at MBIP in the next six days!
Monday: Last night there was a tribute to the legendary bartender Truby at The Friendly Valley Tavern. People brought food and shared photos and memories and I have photos from the evening tomorrow.
Tuesday: The 13 month chicken tour continues with a stop at an iconic Peoria tavern: Schooners!
Wednesday: DJ juanGoblin: Spin Doctor! Last Friday juanGoblin was spinning funky tunes at the 12 Bar Lounge and I was there snapping photos of the crowd gettin’ jiggy wit it!
Thursday: We’ll be cooking up another Thursday Minute Marty Meal…I’m thinking about doing a version of a coney dog this week, tune in and see if this actually happens or if I change my mind and do something else instead.
Friday: I’ll be writing about something housed here in the MBIP World Headquarters to start off next weekend.
Saturday: I’ll be suggesting a destination for your Saturday night dinner from the archives of MBIP!
So that’s next week, now I have to get busy working on that and rehearsing the next edition of the Marty Monologues, it never ends!
