Fedora’s is known for their pizza and gyros, but as I found out just about three years ago, they also have a nice selection of gourmet sandwiches. And so that is why Fedora’s is the place where we’re going to spotlight this week’s Sandwich of Peoria!
Here we are at Fedora’s at the corner of West McClure and University.
There’s the menu on the wall and as you can see, they offer eight gourmet sandwiches. I decided to go with the Spicy Italian with the works.
There’s the owner of Fedora’s, Nabil, serving the sandwich up with a smile!
I chose to eat the sandwich at this table with a view of the traffic zooming by on McClure. Back in 2017 you could actually sit down inside of a restaurant and eat your meal while other people came in. Those were the good old days!
This is a whopper of a sandwich! The bread is homemade and freshly toasted from the oven. The pickle was crisp, tart and tasty! Now let’s dive into this week’s Sandwich of Peoria!
This sandwich is a meal unto itself! The meats include ham, pepperoni, salami, roast beef and Italian Mortadella. The meats are topped with melted layers of Provolone and Mozzarella cheese. I got it with the works which include lettuce, onion, tomato, mayo and Fedora’s homemade dressing sauce.
The bread has a sweet flavor and it compliments the spicy and savory meats perfectly. The cheeses add a rich and creamy flavor to the sandwich. If you’ve never had one, you need to try it out soon!
They are open for take-out orders and the ordering information is below..
