I think we’re all a little on-edge, nervous and anxious these days, I know I am. So I thought I’d cook up a comfort food dish for this week’s Marty Meal. And what’s more comforting than Chili Mac?
Well that would be Chili Mac with a shit ton of cheese in it!
Let’s get cooking!
The Ingredients for this week’s Marty Meal are (from left to right): Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shreds, an onion, Hunt’s Tomato Sauce, Ground Beef, Bob Evans Six Cheese Pasta, Heinz Chili Sauce and Cheez Whiz. Plus I’ll be using seasonings from the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area.
And of course the most important ingredient: A tallboy Bud Light, with a can of Lysol disinfectant looming in the background.
I’ve chopped the onion and sautéed it in a pre-heated, buttered pan. I added come Cholula hot sauce and then I transferred them to a plastic bowl for use later.
Next we’ll brown the ground beef and then strain the grease off in the sink.
Now we’ll put the ground beef back in the pan and add seasonings and Cholula hot sauce.
I’ve added a can of Hunt’s Tomato Sauce and Heinz Chili Sauce to the seasoned ground beef. Then I poured in some parmesan bread crumbs, the sautéed onions, Cheez Whiz and even more Cholula hot sauce.
It tastes rich, spicy and delicious! We’ll let it simmer so the flavors can really blend together.
Now it’s time for the Mac portion of this comfort food dish.
I nuked the Six Cheese Bob Evans Pasta and mixed it in with the chili. Then I put it in a baking pan.
I layered the Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Shreds on top of the Chili Mac for one more cheesy dimension to this dish!
Then I put it under the broiler.
And a few minutes later, here it is out of the oven!
That cheddar layer on top is going to add a lot of richness to this Chili Mac casserole!
Let’s plate it up!
This was such a tasty and spicy dish. The chili was savory and spicy and had a lot of heat to it. It was nicely balanced by the rich cheese from the pasta and Cheez Whiz. The layer of Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Shreds was crunchy and added a bold flavor to the dish!
I’m still kind of nervous, but I think I’ll have a bunch of beer for dessert and that should calm me down!
There’s been all kinds of talk about wearing face masks in public places. I don’t get this debate, it’s been proven it helps stop the spread of this virus, so just put one on and shut the fuck up!
I actually think women look cool in them! It adds mystery and there’s a sense of allure when you see a woman in a face mask.
So, this week’s titillating pictorial is Women In Face Masks, enjoy!
Okay, put on a face mask, stay safe and be well, everyone! We’ll see you all tomorrow!
