Live from Peoria, Illinois it’s Saturday night starring this week’s hosts, Theo’s and The Scottish Rite Theatre.
Now please welcome this week’s host’s starting with a drive-by dinner at Theo’s Drive-in and then a Christmas show at the Scottish Rite Theatre directed by Chip Joyce!
Here we are at Theo’s Drive-In, I thought we’d come by here before tonight’s show for a quick, dive-by chili-cheese dog dinner.
The woman working here was a little shy and didn’t want her picture taken so here’s a photo of the window where I ordered my dinner..
Amber Parking Alert!
Check out my parking and this is somewhat of an inside joke!
We’re eating dinner inside of the MBIP Mobile and here’s the chocolate shake that’s starting off tonight’s meal. It’s rich, creamy and delicious!
And here’s the star of tonight’s dinner, a chili cheese dog from Theo’s Drive-In.
This was a quick but still a delicious dinner and yes it was all that and…
A bag of chips! And now it’s off to…
The Scottish Rite Theatre in downtown Peoria!
Let’s go inside and see what’s happening.
These two were taking the tickets for the evening’s production of A Christmas Carol.
Here’s some festive decorative items at the theatre.
This is the downstairs lobby of the theatre where you can get a drink and relax before the show.
These three were manning the area to get drinks from.
And now it’s time for the show to begin.
There was no photos taking during the show, but here’s some from their facecrack photos page.
And here’s some more from their facecrack page from the actual performance of the play.
Here’s a photo from Chip Joyce’s facecrack page with this caption:
Full circle moment. 30 years ago I would sit in this spot doing homework during rehearsals for A Christmas Carol at the Scottish Rite. Tonight it’s where I sat during rehearsal while directing A Christmas Carol at the Scottish Rite.

Any theatre show in Peoria that begins with these four words is a show you should definitely go and see: “Directed by Chip Joyce.”
Chip’s shows always leave you with the following words: “I can’t believe how great that show was!”
Who knew that there was such talented people in Peoria! This was an unbelievable production and it blew my socks off and left my feet freezing cold in a good kind of way!
Here’s Chip with his pretty wife, Jenny at the post show after party.
You and the entire cast did a wonderful and magical job, Chip!
Thanks for bringing this production to Peoria! It was a spectacular show and I and the entire crowd loved it!
