Live, from Peoria, Illinois it’s Saturday Night Take-Out starring this week’s host, Bacci Pizza and featuring special guest star, Katrina.
Now, please welcome this week’s Saturday Night host, Bacci Pizza!
Okay, so last Saturday, the Pizzas of Peoria spotlight was shone on Bacci Pizza where years ago i went and got one of their giant slices of pizza.
After I posted that I perused their menu and saw that they sold an item called a Panzerotti. i’ve never heard of such a thing and decided to order it for this week’s Saturday night take-out dinner. I was intrigued.
So here I am ordering it online.
I decided to get a few other items and that’s when things got downright scary and weird as fuck!
I thought I’d also get an order of chicken wings, because, well, why the fuck not?
But when ordering them you’re asked to choose a dipping sauce choice, which is fine until you look at the choices.
The last one is Ketchup.
Ketchup.
Just let it sink in for a minute or three. Or perhaps four.
Ketchup.
On chicken wings.
What in the holy fuck is this?
Who the fuck puts ketchup on chicken wings? The thought alone makes me want to throw up a monkey lung in my left shoe and then spray diarrhea all over my apartment!
Ketchup on chicken wings? Holy fuck no! No, no and NO!
Aaahhh! Fuck!
NO!
Ketchup?
On chicken wings?
Fuuuuuck noooooo!
Okay, I’ve moved on from that menu experience and here we are approaching Bacci Pizza near Bradley University.
This is a dreary fucking day when it’s raining and any minute this shit is going to start freezing up, so let’s get our dinner and get out of this mess pronto!
Ketchup on chicken wings? What in the actual fuck is that all about?
Okay, I’m letting it go!
But still…fuck!
Here we are at Bacci Pizza and i love the neon signs in the windows!
There’s tables for outside dining, but the weather today doesn’t agree with that, so let’s go inside where it’s dry and warm.
The place hasn’t changed at all since our last visit and that’s a good thing.
There’s the giant pizza slices in the pizza case and there’s the menu on the wall over the
aforementioned pizza case.
Here’s a shot from the back of the restaurant and stools for the bar along the wall.
Inside dining is back in here, although it’s empty right now because we’re here at an odd time of day and the weather is brutal outside right now.
But if you’’d like to dine in, you are more than welcome to enjoy a dinner here inside at Bacci Pizza!
Suddenly…condiments! Lovely!
Speaking of lovely, here’s Katlyn serving up our Saturday night dinner and looking super-cute in her mask while doing so!
Check out the homemade cookies on the counter
Katlyn told me she bakes these fresh every day and I was tempted to get some, but we have dessert in our order, so we’ll just exit, stage left and before you know it…
Whoosh, we’re back at the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area.
The first course for tonight’s Saturday night feast is a giganzo can of Bud Light. Cheers!!
I started out the night with an order of five chicken wings. This comes with an order of fries which I didn’t expect but it was a pleasant surprise!
I also got an order of hot sauce and an order of melted cheese dipping sauce.
The chicken wings were lightly breaded and un-sauced. I dipped them in the hot sauce and they were tasty wings. I usually prefer my wings un-breaded, but these were lightly breaded and they were really juicy and tasty!
The French fries were hand-cut and I dipped them into the cheese sauce and they were a rich treat as well!
A tasty start to this Saturday night dinner!
And now, on to the main course, the mysterious Panzerotti!
I had never heard of this dish until now!
Katlyn told me that it was basically a giant calzone filled with sauce and mozzarella cheese and you can add extra ingredients.
I got it with bacon, ham, cheese, ground beef and onions and this thing is huge!
It was savory and delicious and yes, there’s going to be leftovers going on here for days on end!
And for dessert I tried the Bacci Fried Dough and it was a sweet treat and a happy ending to a delicious Saturday night take-out dinner!
But still, who in the actual fuck puts ketchup on chicken wings?
Fuck!
