Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night Take-Out starring this week’s host, Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe and featuring special guest stars, A.B., Julie, Brody and Mary. Plus artwork from Jessica Ball and Jim “Swami” Wombacher!
Now please welcome this week’s host, from beautiful downtown Peoria, The Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe!
Here we are at Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe in downtown Peoria. It’s freezing out here, so let’s go inside already!
Okay, after going through a Get Smart series of doors, we’re finally going to walk inside of Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe!
There’s the front counter, but where’s A.B?
Here she is smiling pretty underneath that mask! Always great to see her friendly and beautiful face!
I love that Rhythm Kitchen promotes local art. The artist of the month is my friend, Jessica Ball.
This is just a small sampling of Jessica’s unique and wonderful artwork. Check out more of her work by clicking here.
I love the atmosphere in here and I got here just when it opened, so I’m the only one in here now.
As you can see from this article in the PJ Star, I’m not the only one in town who loves the Rhythm Kitchen!
They recently received a Covd-19 Safety Excellence Award from the city of Peoria! Thanks for being cautious and helping to slow the spread in our city!
They’re working on my order right now back in the kitchen!
While my meal is being prepared, let’s take a look in the back room.
Over a year ago, I came here to enjoy some ukulele music and discovered that art from my brother Jim was hanging in this back room. That was such a wonderful surprise and I love coming here and looking at it!
This is a special occasion tonight because it’s the second anniversary of when Julie took ownership of The Rhythm Kitchen! She worked here over a decade and took the reins two years ago and here she is with her husband Brody.
I came here last year for the first anniversary and we talked about how we had no idea back then how our lives would be changed by this rotten pandemic!
I brought them some gifts and here’s hoping that next year, this virus is just a bad memory!
Happy Second Anniversary to Julie, Brody and everyone at The Rhythm Ktichen! Here’s to many more years!
Mary came over and said hi and it was great to see her and before you know it…
Whoosh, we’re back at MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area with this week’s take-out meal. Check out the personalized receipt.
I love that! Yes, I’m easily amused. You got a problem with that? I didn’t think so, okay, let’s just keep moving along here.
Check out the intriguing Mystery Box and there’s tonight’s Saturday Night dinner revealed.
I got the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich with a side order of pasta. It looks fabulous, let’s dig in!
The pasta is homemade and delicious here. Not like the stuff you get in a little plastic tub in so many places! It’s hearty and satisfying!
Now on to the main course, the Grilled Chicken Sandwich.
This is a grilled breast of chicken with melted Swiss-American Cheese, bacon and it comes with a tub of house-made BBQ sauce which I liberally applied to the sandwich.
Wow, this sandwich is so delicious!
The chicken breast is plump and juicy and the bacon is crisp and smokey. The Swiss-American Cheese adds a subtle richness along with the tangy BBQ sauce which kicks in a little zing. And the toasted bakery fresh bun is heavenly!
What a wonderful sandwich to enjoy on a cold winter evening!
And now…we reveal what’s inside the ever-intriguing Mystery Box!
It’s homemade chocolate cake and it is such a sweet and tasty treat! The perfect happy ending to a wonderful Saturday night dinner!
Thanks to Julie, Brody and everyone at The Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe. They are now open for indoor dining and take-out too, so stop by and support this wonderful and unique local cafe!
Happy Second Anniversary!
