Sometimes I start off to do a specific blog post and then it takes a turn that I had not planned on at all. I always say that doing the MBIIP blog is like improvisational journalism. Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and make it up as you go along!
Yesterday I went over to the new site of Relics Gift Shop on Sheridan Road and was going to see if I could get a sneak peek at what’s going on in there. Let’s go check it out.
Here we are at the new home of Relics Gift Shop. I’m excited that they’ve found a new and bigger location, but a little sad because this building housed Moxie’s Resale Boutique and I featured them in the first year of doing the MBIP blog back in 2013! Back then Mollee owned it and a few years later, Jesi took it over.
I looked inside the window and I don’t see anyone in there. This is about all we’re going to get today, I guess.
I took a photo of the side of the building and then I saw this note on the door: Moxie’s has moved! They’re not out of business after all. To the MBIP Mobile!
Here we go down Sheridan Road to check out the new location of Moxie’s Resale Boutique. I’m so happy that they’re still in business! What a nice surprise!
It turns out that they’re in The Sunbeam Building! This just keeps getting better and better!
This is one of the coolest buildings in town! We’ll go through the double doors and there’s the new Moxie’s Resale Boutique.
It is so cool in here, I love the brick wall! There’s owner Jesi, standing by the dressing room made out of wedding dresses!
It was great to see her again and she gave me the okay to take some photos in here, so let’s go on a self-guided tour of the new Moxie’s Resale Boutique!
There’s racks of clothing and multiple shelves of all kinds of shoes and foot wear in here.
There’s also fun knick-knacks, jewelry and watches on display. I love walking around in stores like this, you find so many little treasures!
Check out the obligatory mirror shot in this vintage mirror!
There’s an upstairs in here with all kinds of fun, unique and interesting items on display!
I love the Moxie soda pop can!
And of course there’s more clothing, purses, hats and shoes up here as well! This is a very well-stocked store!
Jesi told me that they’re having a 9th year anniversary party in a couple weeks on June 10th! Follow their facecrack page for upcoming details on the party!
Congratulations to Jesi on the new location and good luck with the new chapter of Moxie’s Resale Boutique!
