Live, from Peoria Heights, it’s Saturday Night, starring this week’s host, Joe’s Original Italian & Martini Bar and featuring special guest stars, Katie, Shane, Jaylea, Jessica, Amber, Joe and Sheila!
Now please welcome this weeks host, all the way from restaurant row in Peoria Heights, Joe’s Originals Italian & Martini Bar!
Here we are at Joe’s Original Italian & Martini Bar in Peoria Heights. Let’s go in and see what’s happening inside.
There’s a nice crowd in here, great to see people out and about again after being shut in last year!
There’s Katie looking pretty behind the bar and at the end is the owner of Joe’s, Shane.
He said last year was tough, but hopefully this year will pick up again. As I keep preaching on here, now is the time to support local restaurants and businesses more than ever!
The sign says to please see the host…
And so that’s exactly what we did. We went to the host station and met Jayleah the cutest host in the world!
She took us to our booth in the back…
And as soon as we got settled in our friendly and pretty waitress Jessica was delivering us drinks to start the evening off.
You may be wondering who the “we” is I keep mentioning, well they’re the special guests for the evening…
My friends Amber, Joe and Sheila joined me for this week’s Saturday meal and it was great to hang out with them and enjoy this Saturday evening out on the town.
We all agreed we really appreciate being together and going out after a year of being pretty much shut in due to the rotten pandemic!
Jessica took our dinner orders and while that’s being prepared, I’m going to take a few more photos in here.
There’s the kitchen and the chef who’s preparing our dinner!
Do a good job chef, I’m starvin’ like you know who!
On the wall above the kitchen are a couple signs with the martinis and wines available for the evening.
There’s a dining area just opposite the kitchen.
Here’s another martini sign and a Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrel is used for a table to sit wine glasses on.
When I got back to our booth the food had started to arrive. I started my dinner off with a cup of the Italian Wedding Soup.
I’m kind of rusty about doing pictures in restaurants after having a year off, so I ate half of it before I remembered I needed to take a picture of it!
It was delicious and a great start to this Saturday night dinner!
The the main courses arrived and they looked fantastic!
Both Amber and Sheila had the Seared Tuna and Joe got a bowl of the Basta Pasta.
The Seared Tuna are Sashimi grade Saku tuna steaks which are encrusted with sesame seeds and seared and served rare on top of stir-fried vegetables.
The Basta Pasta is a signature pasta house dish with shrimp, scallops and crabmeat served with a spicy marinara sauce with pasta.
Everyone was raving about how delicious their dinner was and Amber showed off a piece of the succulent seared tuna.
For my entree I got the Steak 3 Ways, which is a prime cut filet topped off with a crab cake and it’s served with three dipping sauces: Bearnise Sauce, Blue Cheese Sauce and a Port Wine Reduction.
The sides for this dish are garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus.
The crab cake was crunchy and delicious and the filet was tender, juicy and the sauces complimented it so well.
This was such a fabulous dinner, thanks to everyone at Joe’s for this tasty treat on a Saturday night!
The evening ended with an obligatory bathroom mirror shot.
Thanks to Amber, Joe and Sheila for joining me for a fun and delicious Saturday night at Joe’s Original Italian & Martini Bar!
