It’s the second week of eating every single can that Chef Boyardee has to offer. Hopefully it’ll turn out better than last week!
This week we’re trying two more cans that were'n’t available when I was a kid…
Chicken Alfredo and Overstuffed Italian Sausage Ravioli.
Okay, let’s open up these cans and try these flavors out!
Here’s the Overstuffed Italian Sausage Ravioli and a bird’s eye view of the open can.
Into the pan it goes.
I just season these canned entrees up with pepper, because that’s how I ate them as a kid.
Extreme close-up!
First Bite: This was pretty tasty! The sausage had a nice savory and somewhat spicy flavor to it and it wasn’t slimy like last week’s ravioli!
This was a pleasant surprise!
Now it’s onto the next can!
We’ll be sampling the Chicken Alfredo next.
Plop into the pan it goes and it gets seasoned with some finely ground pepper.
Extreme close up!
First bite: Oh my, this has a really weird taste to it and not in a good way
It’s hard to describe but it’s almost a sour taste…kind of medicinal. It tastes like chewy, warm cough syrup. Yikes!
Once again, the actual food bears no resemblance as to how it’s portrayed on the label.
Now let’s rate this week’s Chef Boyardee offerings.

MBIP Rating (One To Four Chefs)
Overstuffed Italian Sausage Ravioli: Three Chefs.
This was surprisingly tasty and the sausage in the plump ravioli was quite tasty. I doubt I’ll ever eat it again, but it was pretty good!
Chicken Alfredo: One Quarter Chef.
This lived up to the chicken part of the name of this dish because it was very fowl!

Hostess Dessert
For our retro Hostess dessert I got the classic chocolate cupcakes.
I loved these as a kid and they don’t disappoint as an adult! A sweet treat!
