Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, Oliver’s Pizza & Pub North and featuring special guest stars, Bebe and Tiffany.
Now please welcome this week’s host, right off of Willow Knolls Drive, Oliver’s Pizza & Pub North!
Here we are at Oliver’s Pizza & Pub North on a glorious Saturday night.
As I approached the door I saw a wreath and thought that it was pretty early for Xmas decorations.
But on a closer look I saw that it’s a Halloween wreath and the timing for that is perfect! Boo-Yah!
There’s photos here in the front hallway and check out this plaque, it’s from an MBIP post and I’m honored to be on the wall!
Thanks to Julie Motherway who’s the Director of Operations here at Oliver’s and she made this happen!
Here’s the main dining room at Oliver’s. It’s a welcoming and comfortable room.
I love the classic Peoria photos in here of some memorable places in the city.
The dining room is great, but I like the table at the end of the bar and if you look closely you’ll see one of our special guest stars for the evening…
It’s my friend Bebe who met us for dinner tonight! Always great to see her smiling face!
Tiffany was our friendly and pretty waitress for the evening and she took our dinner orders and before we could blink an eyeball…
An order of onion rings appeared.
These were so delicious! They were lightly breaded and had a nice savory and pepper-infused flavor to them.
These are really unique onion rings and I highly recommend you try them out!
While we wait for the main course, I’ll roam around and take a few photos in here.
Here’s another shot of the bar and as you can see they have a nice selection of beers on tap.
The Oliver’s logo on the wall behind the bar has been dressed up to honor the Halloween weekend.
I absolutely love the Oliver S North framed photo as well as the vintage 15 cent pizza photo on the wall in here.
These two Pulp Fiction framed photos are also nice!
They have Team Trivia every Tuesday at 6pm here at Oliver’s!
Here’s Tiffany delivering our Saturday night dinners!
My camera-shy friend got a personal pizza with extra cheese and Bebe got the veggie pizza. Both look. amazingly delicious!
I got the GFF sandwich with fresh-cut fries and it was amazing!
The fries were crispy and the sandwich was absolutely amazing
It’s made with thinly-sliced sirloin steak, onions, green peppers, mushrooms and a house-made buffalo sauce.
It’s topped with a layer of melted jack cheese and it’s housed in a a buttered and toasted Olivilotti-Pisanelli roll.
I ate it open-faced with a fork and a knife and it was beyond amazing. Such a unique and delicious sandwich. You can read about the origin of this sandwich in this MBIP post from the past.
And for dessert, we had Halloween candy.
Happy Halloween everyone, stay away from the poisoned candy!
