Okay, another week…another lunch!
Let’s get in the MBIP Mobile and hit the road to Lunch Land!
This week’s lunch is happening at the Sunny House Chinese Restaurant on Main Street.
It’s right across from Campustown.
Let’s go in and let today’s luncheon adventure begin!
It’s past the peak lunch time, so there’s plenty of places to sit.
Hey, I think I see today’s special luncheon guest star over in a booth to the left…
It’s my friend and local author, Tricia A.K.A. P.A. Nimmo.
Tricia wrote and published a book this year, titled, “Running Blind in Traffic.”
She’s been busy promoting it and you can see her interviewed on WEEK’s Community Corner by clicking here and listen to her interviewed on The Greg and Dan Show by clicking right here!
She’s really getting the word out on her book, which is an interesting tale of her life that begins in New York and it takes her to Pekin, Illinois. There’s many twists and turns in her tale and it’s a roller coaster of a ride that you should definitely check out.
You can buy the book locally at these stores here in Peoria: I Know You Like A Book, Book Rack Books & Gifts, The Book Nook, LIt. On Fire, Barnes & Noble and Moon Dancer Boutique.
The book is also available at Inquiring Minds Bookstore & Cafe in Saugerties, New York and you can also purchase it online at Lulu.com, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
This is a very interesting and entertaining autobiography and you should check it out and support one of Peoria’s local authors!
If you’d like to meet Tricia and have her sign the book for you, she’s having a book signing celebration on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at I Know You LIke A Book.
She’ll be there from 1pm to 3pm, so stop by and say hi and get a book from a local author right here in Peoria!
Okay, time to order lunch!
Wendy, who owns Sunny House came over and took our order. She said business has been very good and I’m happy she’s doing well here!
Tricia and I started off with an appetizer order of Crab Rangoon and it was so delicious and tasty!
We both agreed it’s the best Crab Rangoon we’ve ever had!
I love the embossed metallic art on the walls in here!
Here’s a shot from the back of the restaurant and there’s a round table for a large dinner party in here!
Meanwhile, back at our booth…
I busted Tricia for texting at lunchtime!
I guess she didn’t get the memo that MBIP is a text-free zone!
Soon our main courses arrived.
Tricia got the Egg Foo Young and it looks amazing!
I got the Hot and Spicy Diced Chicken and the portions here are huge!
This was very tasty and also really spicy and hot! Perfect for a chilly winter afternoon!
And there was plenty leftover for dinner later in the evening!
Okay, let’s see what the Fortune Cookie has to say…wow, Tricia is really doing a good job promoting her book!
Thanks to Tricia for meeting me for lunch and thanks to Wendy and everyone at Sunny House for a fun and delicious lunch!
