Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night, starring this week’s host, Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe and featuring special guest stars, Amber and Joe! Also featured in this episode: A.B., Brandy, Jeannine, Kelly, Julie and Chef Jason.
Now, please welcome, all the way from beautiful downtown Peoria, Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe!
Here we are at the Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe on Water Street in downtown Peoria. Let’s go in and start this week’s Saturday night adventure!
There’s the entrance to the Rhythm Kitchen and A.B. is behind the host counter and greeted us with her pretty smile.
She guided us to our table and…
Here’s tonight’s special guest stars, my friends and frequent MBIP guest stars, Joe and Amber!
They’re looking fabulous and it’s always great to have them join us for a Saturday night dinner!
Here’s our pretty and friendly waitress, Brandy bringing me a beer and she took our dinner order.
There they are in the kitchen area of the restaurant getting all the dinner orders prepared.
Suddenly, homemade chips and salsa appear…I love it when that happens!
There’s Amber and Joe enjoying these pre-dinner treats.
The atmosphere in here is New Orleans inspired and that’s accentuated by the bottles and beads chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
The Rhythm Kitchen is definitely an original and unique Peoria dining and drinking destination.
There’s Jeannine behind the bar serving up some happy customers.
Tonight’s dinner menu and specials are on display on the chalkboard on the wall in the dining room.
One very cool thing about the Rhythm Kitchen is that they feature rotating local artist’s works and you can purchase the local art here.
Neil Keener is the featured artist for now and I love his artwork. They’re all great, but my favorite is the Charlie Manson bowling painting!
Neil is also a member of the band, Blunt Razors.
And speaking of art, I always have to go to the back room where my brother Jim’s artwork is on display.
Thanks to Rhythm Kitchen for featuring his artwork and you can read more about Jim and his art by clicking here.
Meanwhile, back at our table, Kelly and Brandy are delivering our Saturday night dinners!
I got the Shrimp Creole, Amber got the Grilled Ahi Tuna with red beans and rice and Joe got a bowl of the Gumbo Ya-Ya which comes with a Black Pecan Muffin.
All the dishes look tasty and fantastic, let’s dig in!
My Shrimp Creole came with a sweet biscuit and it was dense and delicious!
The Shrimp Creole was fantastic. The shrimp were plump, juicy and so tasty and the sauce it was swimming in was savory with a lot of New Orleans zing!
Amber and Joe loved their dinners as well!
We spied this fantastic looking homemade chocolate cake on the counter…
And here’s Brandy serving us up a slice of this fabulous cake!
This was a sweet treat to a wonderful dining experience at Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe!
At the end of the night, things had slowed down enough for the owner of Rhythm Kitchen, Julie to pose with the Executive Chef Jason for a photo!
Thanks to them and everyone at Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe for a wonderful New Orlean’s inspired Saturday night in downtown Peoria, Illinois!
