Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery and featuring special guest stars, Britney and Tammy.
Now, please welcome from beautiful downtown Peoria, Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery!
Here we are at Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery.
This is an impressive building here in downtown Peoria and it was originally built in 1889 as a church. When we go in, I’ll show you some of the stained glass windows from back in that era.
Check it out, this is one of the most impressive entrances in Peoria!
The dining room is spectacular and I love the chandeliers hanging overhead.
Since I’m dining alone this week, I thought I’d sit at the bar which is located in the center of the dining room.
I love the chalk art hanging overhead!
Britney is the friendly bartender on duty and she brought me a drink and took my dinner order. I love it when this happens!
Wow, the service here is fast!
Moments after I ordered, our first course has arrived. I got a cup of the Beer Cheese Soup to start the dinner off and it was fantastic!
The soup was rich and creamy and the diced onions added a nice spicy flavor to the rich soup! It was a delicious start to this Saturday night dinner!
I love the atmosphere in here and the stained glass windows, but I didn’t feel these photos did the place justice.
So I went to their website and found some excellent photos that I’ll put up for your viewing pleasure.

Photos from the Obed & Isaac’s Website!
Here’s some fantastic photos of Obed & Isaac’s taken from their website.
This is one of Peoria’s most impressive buildings and the atmosphere in here is nothing short of magical!
My photo of the taps behind the bar didn’t turn out very well, so I took this off of their website too!
Even though it’s chilly outside for this time of year, let’s go check out their Beer Patio and Garden.
They have one of the best Beer Patio’s and Beer Gardens in Peoria. As I said, it’s a little chilly tonight so no one is out here, but the Beer Garden will be open Thursday through Sunday from now until the fall.
There’s picnic tables, a full bar, bocce, bags and it’s pet friendly out here and they love catering to dogs and any other of your animal friends!
Meanwhile, back at the bar…
Our Saturday night dinner has arrived!
I got the Asian Crunch Wrap which is a wrap that houses breaded fried chicken, slaw, chopped peanuts and it’s dressed with a green onion sesame ginger dressing.
It looks amazing!
I ordered the house-made potato chops for my side item and they were crunchy and delicious.
The Asian Crunch Wrap was a delightful and delicious entree!
There were so many flavors happening in this Asian wrap! The chicken was flavorful and juicy, the slaw and chopped peanuts added a nice crunch and the sesame ginger dressing topped it all off nicely.
What a fantastic and satisfying Saturday night dinner!
After dinner, Tammy came over and said hi. I’ve run into Tammy several times through the years doing this blog and it was great to see her and catch up on things.
Tammy’s the Assistant Manager here and the Event Coordinator. She told me that there’s several rooms here you can rent out for private parties and you can even rent out the Beer Garden or a portion of it on select nights. If you need a fun spot for a private party in one of Peoria’s most unique and atmospheric locations, just give Tammy a call to talk about it!
Thanks to Tammy, Britney and everyone at Obed & Isaac’s for a fun and delicious Saturday night in beautiful downtown Peoria!
