Live, from Peoria Illinois, it’s Saturday Night Take-Out starring food from Dixon’s Seafood Shoppe.
Now, please put your hands together for the supplier of tonight’s meal, Dixon’s Seafood Shoppe!
In the past when I would get a take-out order for my Saturday night dinner, I’d at least get some outside shots of the restaurant, but since I’m stuck at home and can’t drive due to my recent hip replacement surgery I found these online photos of Dixon’s Seafood Shoppes.
And now, back to MBIP World Headquarters, Mach IV! Here’s this week’s Saturday night dinner brought to me by my sister, Terry!
She chose the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese Dinner and it looks simply fabulous!
As I mentioned, I had my hip replaced last week and there’s the walker that’s getting me around.
Since I had surgery, in addition to a beer before dinner…
We’ll also have an appetizer of dueling pain medications! Cheers!
Okay, the oven is pre-heated to 350 degrees and we’l slide the lobster mac and cheese in on the middle tray.
Next I took a pretzel roll and cut in in half and drizzled butter over it. Then I decided to take it a step further and make it a dessert pretzel roll and I added a coating of Light Brown Sugar on it.
Then I put it in the oven next to the mac and cheese and they’ll bakefor about twenty minutes…
And so to full the time, here twenty minutes of useless information. Enjoy!
Wow, it looks and smells fantastic! I cut a hunk of it our and put it on a plate.
Here’s a birds-eye-view of my Saturday Night Lobster Mac And Cheese Dinner!
It looks pretty well seasoned but I added some black pepper and hot sauce to the mac and cheese.
Wow, this is probably the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had!
There’s four different cheeses in the mix: Parmesan, Smoked Gouda, Cheddar and Cream Cheese. This gives it such a rich and creamy flavor and it’s topped off with a layer of cornflakes which gives the dish a nice crunch. And the lobster takes it over the top.
This is such a rich and decadent mac and cheese! Thanks to Terry for picking it out and bringing it over!
I’ve never done a blog from Dixon’s, but when I’m back on my feet and driving again, I’ll have to stop over there for an in-house blog!
After the lobster mac and cheese, I took the dessert pretzel rolls out of the oven and unwrapped them.
They look really sweet and tasty. Let’s dig in!
These were so good! The brown sugar mixed with the butter and it gave the pretzel rolls a sweet and somewhat caramelized topping!
A sweet treat to a wonderful dinner at the MBIP World Headquarters, Mach IV!
Thanks again to Terry for bringing the Lobster Mac and Cheese from Dixon’s!
