Time for week number six as we eat our way through the Goldbelly Keens Steakhouse box.
The Keens Steakhouse Box comes with four of their Steakhouse Burgers.
I ate one earlier in a traditional manner and this week, I thought I’d cook up a loose meat hamburger sandwich in the old Maid-Rite style.
And so…let’s cook!
Pretty simple ingredients this week: A bun and a hamburger patty. I threw the pickles out because they felt kind of gross.
I don’t think pickles take kindly to being frozen, so I dumped them!
I placed the bun in the warm pizza oven to heat it up.
Then I chopped up the burger and topped it off to let it cook loosely.
While that’s simmering, we’ll take a little beer break! Cheers!
Okay, after about ten minutes, we’ll simmer the loose hamburger meat with some Worcestershire sauce, some hot chili oil, some mustard powder and a nice heap of black pepper.
Next we’ll add some chopped onions and a nice dollop of Sandwich Pal mustard. Okay, I just tried it and it’s delicious!
I decided to eat it open-faced…
It was so delicious and soon…
It’s all gone! What a delicious lunch!
