Last Sunday there was a concert at the Peoria Riverfront Museum celebrating the history of the legendary Golden Voice Recording Studio which was located in South Pekin, Illinois.
If you’re not familiar with the history of this recording studio where so many local artists recorded and got their first vinyl records made at, click here to hear the the beginning history of this legendary recording studio.
Now, let’s go to the Peoria Riverfront Museum to start this fun and musical afternoon!
Here we are at the Peoria Riverfront Museum and there’s already people gathered in the lobby.
The show is outside on the museum’s outdoor patio which overlooks the scenic Peoria Riverfront. But before we go outside, let’s go take a look at a couple indoor Golden Voice exhibits in here.
Check out the wall of albums that were recorded at Golden Voice though the years and a quartet of platinum albums from Golden Voice recording artists, Dan Fogelberg and Head East.
There’s also a working Goden Voice jukebox here across from the concession stand stocked with records that were made and recorded at Golden Voice Studios. Very cool!
Here we are outside and as you can see, this is a sold out event!
