Today is a special day, it’s the sixth anniversary of my friends Amber and Joe’s wedding day!
A few nights before the wedding in 2017, we had a pre-wedding party at Tannins & Hops and I took pictures of the party and of the wedding six years ago.
Below are the photos and links to the original posts from these happy and wonderful occasions that happened a half dozen years ago.

The Pre-Wedding Party @ Tannins & Hops
We had a pre-wedding celebratory party at Tannins & Hops, which was a speakeasy tavern and restaurant located on Water Street in downtown Peoria.
Here we are at Tannins & Hops, being a speakeasy, there was no sign outside, you just had to know where to go. This was such a cool place!
We had our own table and section of the restaurant reserved for the evening’s party.
Kyley was our pretty server for the evening and she also posed with owner, Bryan Harlan. Bryan is now at the Longbranch in Athens, Illinois.
Here’s the evening’s party guests, clockwise from left, Jon, Ryan, Danielle, Brent and the guests of honor, Amber and Joe. Shortly after I took the top photo, Bekah and Andrew arrived and now we can let the party begin!
Lucas was the Executive Chef and he brought the first of many tasty trays for this tasting dinner. All the food was fabulous and they kept bringing new trays of tasty delights all throughout the evening.
Tannins & Hops had a signature drink named after Yours Fooly based on the New York Sour drink and they called it the Wombacher Sour and I was honored they did this!
Bryan created it along with Mixologist Thomas and they made a batch for a special toast in honor of Amber & Joe at the pre-wedding party.
This was a fun evening and a nice warm-up for the upcoming wedding!

Amber And Joe’s Wedding Day And Reception!
The wedding was held at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe.
There’s the congratulatory sign from six years ago!
They have a wonderful chapel here and it was looking beautiful on Amber and Joe’s wedding day six years ago.
The top photo is Amber’s parents, Diane and Chuck, followed by Joe’s folks, Sue and Roger and in the last photo it’s Roger with Joe’s grandparents, Steve and Wilma.
All of them looked absolutely fantastic and were folled with happiness on this wonderful afternoon.
I took one last photo of Amber and her Dad, Chuck before he walked her down the aisle to start the wedding ceremony.
Amber looks beautiful and Chuck is bursting with pride on this special day!
Loni Wenzel (owner and photographer of Yellow Lily Photography) was the official wedding photographer and she took these two photos of Amber and Joe saying their vows with Reverend Michael.
This was a such a beautiful wedding ceremony, officiated wonderfully and thoughtfully by Reverend Michael.
There’s Amber and Joe, Husband and Wife! Congratulations, Amber and Joe!
The wedding reception was held at the bowling center and party room at St. Ann’s Church. The place was decorated in a festive manner and it looked great!
This was a such a fun party after the wedding and everybody had a wonderful time!
There was a tasty buffet dinner catered by Childers Eatery and it was a delicious wedding dinner that everyone enjoyed.
After dinner Amber and Joe cut the wedding cake and it was such a sweet moment in time!
I absolutely love the bride and groom bowling photos!
This was such a fun wedding reception and celebration of the marriage of Amber and Joe. It was a blast and a beautiful evening!
I’d like to wish Amber and Joe a very happy Sixth Wedding Anniversary and many more years of love and happiness to come for you two!
Cheers and much love to Mr. and Mrs. Bohannan, A,K.A. Amber and Joe on this Sixth Wedding Anniversary day and evening!
