I’ve never eaten at Sonic Drive-In over off of Sterling across from the mall. I had them on my corn dog list and decided to go last week because I happened to see this ad last week on Monday:
Wow, fifty cent corn dogs all day on Halloween. Halloween was last Tuesday, so I went there on that spooky day for a corn dog treat! I hope it’s not a trick!
Here we are at Sonic Drive-In. My intitial plan was to eat inside of the restaurant but when I went inside of the door I was in the kttchen area and was told that there was no inside dining in the restaurant.
Your choices are to either eat over here inside your car or pick your food up from the drive-through. I decided on the drive-through as I didn’t feel like eating in my car.
Here we are going through the drive-through lane. As we approached the window I noticed two stickers that have both made appearances on the MBIP blog: Artjeb and the Alison Hanna Band. Nice!
Okay, here we are back at the MBIP World Headquarters Dining Area with this week’s corn dog meal. Let’s take it out of the bag and enjoy our corn dog lunch!
Since the corn dog was only fifty cents, I went and got two side dishes with it. I got the pretzel and an order of onion rings. The only condiment they included was this tiny tub of cheese sauce. I was a little disappointed in this, they could’ve at least thrown in a few packs of mustard. Sheesh!
Both the pretzel and the cheese sauce were totally bland and void of any kind of taste what-so-ever. Not a good start to this Sonic meal.
I dipped the onion rings in the cheese sauce and they were crispy and salty, but also equally bland.
Now, on to the main course, this week’s corn dog. Like I said, they included no mustard packs, so I seasoned this week’s corn dog with some of my own Sandwich Pal Jalapeno Mustard.
The only flavor coming through on this corn dog is the Sandwich Pal Jalapeno Mustard. The hot dog was small and anemic and the breading was soggy and not crunchy at all.
This was quite a sad corn dog indeed!

CORN DOG RATING
{Based On A Four Corn Dog Rating System)
I’ll give this Sonic Drive-In corn dog a half a corn dog rating.
This was a sad lesson in that sometimes you get what you pay for. Although I have to say that at fifty cents, this corn dog was over-priced!
