Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, The Friendly Valley Tavern with musical guest stars, Heads In Motion A Tribute To Talking Heads.
Now please welcome a legendary Peoria Tavern and this week’s host, The Friendly Valley Tavern!
It’s Saturday night and here we are at one of Peoria’s classic taverns, The Friendly Valley Tavern.
There’s a live show here tonight and these two pretty women were handing out wrist bracelets for the show.
I’m all set up, so let’s go inside and start our Saturday evening at The Friendly Valley Tavern!
Here’s a couple shots of the bar inside and Ryan was behind the bar and served me up the first beer of the evening.
Cheers, everyone!
There’s tables opposite the bar and gaming machines are located over here in the corner if you’re feeling lucky!
Lot’s of people were here including from top: Dann, Kara and Skully. There’s Mark in the second photo and P.J. and John. In the last photo there’s Marc, Greg and Roxy.
Great to see everyone here at The Friendly Valley Tavern!
Let’s step outside and see what’s happening out here.
Wow, the deck has been enlarged and looks so nice.
I love the giant Budweiser cap on the side of the building!
People bring their own chairs to set up for the outside shows here.
There’s also tables and chairs to sti at in the shelter in the middle of the outside park area.
And there’s also an outside bar here and I love the mural on the outside wall of the back of the tavern.
And here’s the man himself, the owner and operator of The Friendly Valley Tavern, Sean Kenny, with his fiancee, Hayley!
Always great to see them and thanks to Sean for keeping this legendary Peoria Tavern alive and well! He’s really charged the place up again and done a great job of rebuilding and rebranding it.
If you haven’t stopped by, you definitely need to check out the new version of the Sean Kanny Friendly Valley Tavern!
I was going to get a Butch’s Pizza for my dinner, but then I saw this food truck on the grounds outside.
It’s Nate Dawgs and Chili Dogs and I thought I’d give it a try.
That’s the owner, Nate, pictured in the window. He said business has been going great and you can check out his facecrack page by clicking right here.
I got an order of the waffle fries and a chili cheese dog. That chili cheese dog was one of the best I’ve ever had!
I definitely recommend Nate’s Dawgs, check them out when you can! What a delicious dinner!
After dinner I ran into my friend Michelle and it’s always great to see her and she’s looking fabulous as always!
Suddnely night has fallen and the music event is underway. This is Heads In Motion A Talking Heads Tribute Band.
What a fantastic band and show, the outside shows here are epic and you should definitely check then out on the weekends here at The Friendly Valley Tavern!
As you can see, there’s a huge crowd here tonight for the evening’s live show and festivities!
What a fun Saturday night!
I ran into Andy and Brandi who I hadn’t seen in a long time and it was wonderful to see them again.
I also me Jenny and Jamie in my travels around the area. Jamie told me she’s a regular reader of the MBIP blog and I always love to hear that.
What a fun night at The Friendly Valley Tavern! Great to see everyone and thanks to Sean Kenny for keeping this classic Peoria Tavern alive! Stop by and show some support when you can!
