Here we are again on the last day of the month and I almost forgot to do this stupid monthly cookie segment! I just realized yesterday that I haven’t done the Baker’s Dozen post yet and tomorrow/today is the last day of January!
So I went back to a place that kind of jerked me around the last time we went and that place is Crumbl Cookies.
We went there almost a year ago in March of 2023. We were told we had to come back to talk to the GM and then I was told when I went back I had to get permission from the corporate offices for permission to take pictures inside of Crumbl.
I ended up going to Jack’s on Adams and had a great skillet cookie that day!
Well, I’m kinda behind the old 8-ball with this one because I’m really running late. Crumbl is pretty close to the MBIP World Headquarters, so I think I’ll go, sneak a photo or two and bring the cookie back here to MBIP World Headquarters to sample.
So that’s the plan and I’m sticking to it, keep on scrolling and you’ll see what I mean!
Here we are at Crumbl Cookies on Sterling Avenue across from the Northwoods Mall.
One thing that bugs me about this place is that they left the “e” off of the word, “Crumble”. Why in the hell would you even think to do that? It just looks stupid and flawed to me! All I can think of while looking at it in all of its stupidity is the following seven words, “I’d like to buy a vowel, please.”
Let’s go inside and try and put this spelling catastrophe behind us and keep moving forward!
Here I am up at the front counter while my cookie is being packaged. As you can see, it’s a very clean and tidy operation in here! This is the only chance I had to take a picture in here and if you’re part of the corporate team at Crumbl, I apologize for this unauthorized photo.
Or should I say, I “apologiz?”
Okay, we’re back at the MBIP World Headquarters and look at the fancy box that the cookie comes in! Let’s open it up and take a look!
Here’s the cookie I chose, The Chocolate Mallow Cupcake cookie. Let’s take a look at it on their website.
This is a screenshot from their website, this is obviously inspired from an age-old treat we’ve all enjoyed in our youth…
The Hostess Cupcakes!
They should at least acknowledge that they’re using this nostalgic treat as an influence! Kind of sad that they don’t so much as give a clue to that.
Oh well, let’s try this cookie out.
Once again, I can’t help but think about this while I look at this large cookie.
While this certainly is a sweet treat, it’s almost a little too thick and large to be a cookie. With its cake-like consistency, it’s more like that aforementioned cupcake.
Or in this case, perhaps we should say, “cupcak.” Oh Pat…I’d like to…you know…
