A few weeks ago on December 16th it marked the 16th anniversary of the death of Dan Fogelberg. I saw that online and couldn’t believe he’s been gone for that many years now.
Dan is a true Peoria hometown hero and below are six links to online interviews and articles about him and there’s also a trifecta of links to MBIP posts that I’ve written about Dan through the years.
And then there’s the MBIP Coming Attractions for what’s happening here next week.

MBIP Coming Attractions
Monday: I went with my friend, Jeff / Moon to the Publik House for a fun Saturday night dinner last night. Photos of our evening and our Saturday night meal will be up tomorrow!
Tuesday: I thought we’d add a frozen corn dog as we enter our 16th week of the ongoing MBIP Corn Dog Tour. I also made a nice cheesy mustard sauce for it!
Wednesday: A lot of people don’t know that there’s a book store in the basement of the Peoria Public Library. I’ve been meaning to go there and this week I went and even purchased a couple of books!
Thursday: It’s been a while, but we’re hitting the road for another Scott Turley Road Trip. This week we’re going to the new Cranwill’s Bar & Grill in Washington, Illinois! This is a sister restaurant to the Cranwill’s Drive-In in Pekin.
Friday: We’ll be celebrating another Friday Happy Hour at a tavern here in Peoria. I just need to figure out which one to go to! Hey, the week is young, I’ll figure it out!
Saturday: There will be another backwards glance at something from Peoria’s past with another edition of Meanwhile, Back In Peoria’s Past.
