It’s Friday, it’s the beginning of March and MBIP is back! And what better way to step back into our daily blog posts than with a Happy Hour post celebrating a local Peoria tavern?
Well this week we’ve got a true Peoria tavern to visit: Jack’s On Adams which bills itself as “A Peoria Tavern.” I’ve been to Jack’s many times and I can tell you, that’s not false advertising!
Let’s head to downtown Peoria and celebrate the start of this first weekend in March at Jack’s On Adams!
Here we are at Jack’s On Adams. The door is open, so let’s go inside and let the festivities begin!
As soon as I walk in, I saw the bar and a couple of familiar smiling faces behind it.
There’s the owner of Jack’s, Jack Berres alongside the friendly and pretty bartender, Rachel!
Great to see both of them. There’s a nice welcoming vibe in here and Jack told me to feel free to wander around and take some photos, so that’s exactly what we’re going to do!
Here’s a couple shots of both sides of the bar in here, there’s the Jack’s logo mirrored behind the bar and as you can see, they have a vast selection of beers and seltzers in the fridge behind the bar.
Tables line the walls opposite the bar and there’s A.J. and Tom enjoying a late lunch.
As you can see, smiles are what happens when you’re here at Jack’s!
There’s the main dining room in Jack’s and the stage in the front of the room where the live music happens in here.
I added a photo of The Jon Byler Dann Trio performing in here from a Saturday night show about a year ago here in Jack’s.
There’s a nice gaming area tucked away in this room just off of the dining area for all of you gamblers out there!
One of the things that is a highlight at Jack’s On Adams is the food from their extensive menu.
They have their own authentic tavern style pizza that is worth the trip to Jack’s alone. There’s several styles to choose from and it’s a unique, house-made pizza flavor and style that cannot be found anywhere else but Jack’s On Adams.
In addition to the flavorful pizza there’s also JackD Up Shrimp, Chicken Lollipops, Cheeseburgers, Pulled Pork, a Tampa Bay Cuban Sandwich, several salad selections and more.
The kitchen and bar are open from 11am to 11pm, Monday through Wednesday and on Thursday through Saturday, both the kitchen and bar hours are 11am to 1am.
Stop in for lunch, dinner and/or a late night snack!
All the food here is made fresh on the premises and all of it has JackD up flavor that you won’t find anywhere else in town.
There’s a fabulous beer patio in the front of Jack’s that overlooks Adams Street and you can watch the cars and downtown Peoria go by as you enjoy a beverage and some food outside.
More tables will be set up soon as the weather gets warmer.
