Live from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night Cheeseburger starring this week’s host, Blue Duck Barbecue Tavern and featuring special guest stars, Amber, Joe and Emma!

Now, please welcome, from Water Street in beautiful downtown Peoria, this week’s host, Blue Duck Barbecue Tavern!

Here we are at Blue Duck Barbecue Tavern. It’s officially Spring, but it’s still cold out, so let’s get inside and start this week’s Saturday Night Cheeseburger adventure!

Here’s the doorway and hallway that leads to the bar and dining room at Blue Duck. I always stop and take a picture of this illustration of this pipe smoking fox that reminds me of this scene from one of my favorite moves!

Here’s the main dining area and I think I see two familiar faces at this table over here…

It’s my friends, Amber and Joe who are looking fabulous this evening!

We now return to our Saturday night dinner!

Emma was our pretty and friendly waitress for the evening.

We placed our dinner orders with Emma and now it’s time for some photos here in Blue Duck on this Saturday evening.

There’s the bar located in the front of the room.

Here’s another shot of the bar along with the huge selection of beers on tap.

The menu is colorfully displayed on one wall opposite the bar and on the other side there’s a Billy Madison themed piece of art.

There’s tables opposite the bar and comfortable booths line the far wall in here.

Meanwhile, back at our table…

Our Saturday Night dinner has started to arrive!

We started off with an appetizer order of their Buffalo Asian Chicken Wings and these were so tasty and delicious!

And now the main courses have arrived!

Amber got the Caprese Sandwich which consists of mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, basil, mixed greens, and vinaigrette on a square torta roll. She also got a side of macaroni and cheese which reminded me to put Blue Duck on the list for the MBIP Mac and Cheese tour!

Joe got the Mustard Clucker sandwich which is mustard-based chicken salad topped with mixed greens on a square torta roll along with a side of their fresh cut French Fries.

Amber and Joe said their dinner selections were delicious!

Here’s this week’s cheeseburger selection along with a side of the baked potato salad.

The baked potato salad is mustard-based chunky potato salad served warm and it is so delicious and tasty! One of my all-time favorite side dishes.

Here’s the Blue Duck Barbecue’s Lorraine Cheeseburger.

This burger is topped with cheddar cheese, smoky bacon slices, caramelized onions, tomatoes, mixed greens, and garlic aioli on a toasted brioche bun.

The bun is toasted perfectly and this looks like a fabulous cheeseburger!
