Midnight Cowboy is one of my favorite movies. I really doubt it would get the green light today. When it came out it was pretty controversial and it originally got slapped with an X-rating.
Despite the early hiccups, it went on to be nominated for seven Academy Awards and it won for the Best Picture of 1970 on this exact date.

MBIP Coming Attractions
Monday: I had a Friday Night Cheeseburger for a change this weekend at Peoria Pizza Works. I also enjoyed a live music show starring, Tina Sparkle, Hushdrops and Super 88! Photos of the meal and the show will be up tomorrow!
Tuesday: We’re having a Mac and Cheese boxing match this Tuesday for the MBIP Mac and Cheese Tour. I’m cooking and comparing three different styles from boxes of Kraft Mac and Cheese.
Wednesday: The eclipse is happening tomorrow and I’m going to view it at at the Peoria Riverfront Museum patio party. I’ll have photos on Wednesday.
