Since this coming Thursday is the Fourth of July, I thought I’d put up some links to online articles about Ron Kovic’s book, Born on the Fourth of July.
The book is a riveting memoir of Kovic’s memories of fighting the war in Vietnam as a Marine and ending up in a wheelchair after being shot in the spine during his tour of duty. He ended up being a prominent anti-war activist and the book tells his tale. And yeah, he was actually born on the Fourth of July!
Below are five links to online articles about the book and three about the movie that was adapted from the book in 1989 starring Tom Cruise and directed by Oliver Stone. Kovic co-wrote the screenplay with Oliver Stone.
Then below that are the MBIP Coming Attractions as to what’s happening on the blog next week!
