I’ve been working on a new book about my writing career and the title is: “Confessions of a Spiteful Writer.”
I’ve got seven chapters done and it’s kind of stalled out there, I really haven’t written much more for the last few months. It’s really hard to do much of anything else when you’re writing and producing a daily blog like MBIP. I thought about taking a month off from the blog, but instead of that, I thought I’d just start taking a few days off every week from the blog until it’s done.
So this is the new MBIP schedule till the book is done: Sunday through Wednesday, same as it’s always been.
Thursday will be a book update and I’ll post three paragraphs to tease everyone with!
Friday and Saturday will be off, but I’ll be posting a “Best of MBIP” link to a post from the past on facecrack and Twitter.
So that’s the new schedule here until the book is done. I’ll have fresh updates about the book every Thursday!
And now…here’s three paragraphs from the book’s introduction!

Introduction: Please Allow Me To Introduce Myself…And Explain What This Book Is All About
I flunked out of college in 1977 and promptly started working a series of odd jobs that led to me working for a printing company for 13 years, starting in 1980.
In 1986 I was interviewed by Jane Pauley on The Today Show for being a co-creator (with my friend Greg Owens) of a game that satirized Trivial Pursuit called “Trivial Trivia - The Idiot Edition.”
After that fifteen minutes of fame, Greg and I worked on several more comedic and satirical projects and then at one point I was told by a Peoria newspaper editor that I wasn’t really a writer. I’ll go into more detail about this in the book, but it was at that point I seriously thought I should become a writer just to spite this asshole of an editor.
