Okay, we’re off for tenderloin number 14 of the 20 week tour. My friends Kevin and Star, who you may remember took me to the Boar’s Nest for tenderloin number four and it was a great tenderloin and a terrific time. Well, they told me they recently had a tenderloin at the Last Chance Bar & Grill and said it was very good. We went there back in April for Saturday Night Cheeseburger and had a great time then, so let’s make a return visit for the 14th tenderloin of this breaded and porky adventure!
I keep the blinds down in my apartment and didn't know it was supposed to snow today, so when I walked out and saw the MBIP mobile my first reaction was: "Snow way!"
"Way." It's a little slippery out here today!
Signpost ahead...
The Last Chance Bar & Grill!
Let's go in and pretend this rotten weather isn't even happening.
Ah, it's a nice and warm oasis in here! And since the weather is crummy outside, there's plenty of seats at the bar, let's go snag one and settle in.
Beer number one is served up by the pretty bartender on duty, Ashley. I'm warming up already!
As I turned around I saw a familiar face behind me...
It's the owner of the Last Chance, Terry! I met him back when I was doing the 365 Bar Crawl and we came here on Christmas. Terry remembered me and it was a nice little reunion, check out that post here. Hard to believe that was four years ago!
The tenderloin has been ordered...
And here's Ashley putting the order in back here at the kitchen to...
Mike the cook back here. He said he'd take good care in the making of today's tenderloin. Okay, let's let him get to work and we'll take a look around in here.
There's large wooden tables opposite the bar to dine and drink at.
And there's another room midway back here...
The pool tables are usually in the middle of the room, but Ashley explained they had been moved to the side because they had a buffet of food in here earlier.
These doors lead to a popular room here in the back...
It's an indoor beer garden and you can smoke out here. Plus there's big screen TV's up on the wall.
Here's the quartet of beers on tap, plus...
There's a whole cooler of specialty and imported bottled beer if you're feeling adventurous.
As you can see, the bar in here stretches out a long way.
And here's Ashley serving up this weeks breaded pork tenderloin sandwich!
Ashley pointed out that the tenderloin looks like a heart. It's official, they <3 me in here!
Hey this guy is trying to take off with the tenderloin! He was just fooling and put it back, his name is Bey and it turns out he's a writer, I told him to consider writing for this blog, so we'll see if he ends up as an MBIP Contributor.
I've dressed up the far end of the tenderloin with mustard and pepper, that's probably all that I'll be able to eat. This thing is massive!
Delicious! Porky, breaded goodness housed in a bakery-fresh bun!
It doesn't look like I made a dent in it, but I'm stuffed!
It barely fits in the "to go" box!
The next day I thought I'd try and experiment and sample the remainder cold for breakfast, kind of like what you do with day old pizza. I added some of the Kathy Cleveland mustard and it was delicious. There was enough for lunch and dinner too! We'll see you all tomorrow!
