Usually around 1PM or so I go and get a salad at Schnuck’s salad bar. I try to stick to salads on days when I’m not doing some food thing for MBIP so as to retain my girlish figure. I prefer Schnucks to the HyVee in Sheridan Village because I went in to that HyVee once and it was just too damn big in there. Well, I heard they recently opened up a new, even bigger HyVee near Grand Prairie, so I thought today we’d go take a look at it and maybe get a salad there. So, once again, it’s off to the MBIP Mobile we go!
It’s not far to this HyVee location from the MBIP World Headquarters. Just take a right on Willow Knolls, then another right on War Memorial and...
Baboom! Here we are, at the brand spanking new HyVee. One thing I noticed while driving in, this place is more than a just grocery store, check it out:
There’s a HyVee pharmacy, a restaurant, a gas station and a car wash. You know what all these HyVee offshoot businesses do for me? They make me nervous like a goldfish in a pet store filled with cats, it’s like they’re trying to take over the freaking world!
So let’s just ignore the other businesses and see what the grocery store is like.
It’s through the double doors we go and...
Wow, you’d need a panoramic lens to capture the entire store, but trust me when I tell you this: It’s just too damn big in here!
Let’s take a look around in here and try not too get lost!
They have different ethnic food stations, a huge bakery and a giganzo wine and liquor section. This is all nice but...
It’s just too damn big in here!
Wow, that’s the biggest selection of beer I’ve ever seen in a grocery store!
And there’s even more over here! A beer geek could really get excited in here with all these selections. But I’m not really a beer geek and there’s one feeling that keeps gnawing at me...
It’s just too damn big in here!
The produce section is very impressive, kind of like its own little farmer’s market!
And look, there’s a wine section devoted to Willie York! How quaint!
This is very cool, I’ve never seen such a wide selection of Lunchables in my life! And while I do love the Lunchables...
It’s just too damn big in here!
Healthy Halloween Treat Alternatives...or a sure fire way of having your house look like this after you hand this shit out to the youngsters!
There’s the salad section over there, let’s go get lunch!
I have to say, I like the salad bar here. You can get a custom-made salad and there’s lots of ingredients to choose from.
Ashley made mine and check out her beautiful smile! Prettiest salad maker in the world!
There’s a dining area over here where you can eat...
But I prefer to eat my lunch at the MBIP World Headquarters, so let’s go find the MBIP Mobile and head on back.
Hey, check it out, did EV Grieve move here? I must try and get in touch with him! Maybe he’s living in East Peoria and has started a new blog, “EP Grieve!”
Wow, the salad is really great! So to sum up my afternoon: Love the big salad at HyVee, but as far as the store itself goes...
It’s just too damn big in there! We’ll see you all tomorrow!
