Today is Dick Van Dyke’s 95th birthday! He started his career as a radio DJ in Danville, Illinois and went on to star in Broadway shows, movies, and TV shows. His best known TV role is that of Rob Petrie on the Dick Van Dyke Show that ran from 1961 to 1966.
This is one of my all-time favorite TV shows and it’s an early influence on me as far as writing is concerned, as Rob Petrie was the head writer of the Alan Brady Show.
