So this week I asked for suggestions on my Twitter page for a frozen pizza choice and Kevin Holzhauer suggested I try the Butch’s Potato/Bacon pizza, which I’ve never had or heard of. So I went to Schnuck’s to search this mysterious flavor out.
Well, I got to the frozen pizza aisle and they had a variety of Butch’s Pizza, but no Potato/Bacon style. So I went for another suggestion from my Twitter Timeline.
Chicago’s Home Run Inn was the only frozen pizza that got two suggestions.
Both Gina and Gloria suggested Home Run Inn, so that’s this week’s frozen pizza!
Thanks to all of you who made suggestions!
Now let’s go back to the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area.
And through the miracle of these here interwebs, baboom, here we are!
Here’s the Home Run Inn pizza I selected. It’s the Ultra Thin Cheese Pizza.
Let’s take it out of the box and have a look at this frozen pizza pie.
It’s got a nice coating of cheese, let’s pop it into the oven and begin the cooking process.
It’s going to cook for about twenty minutes, so enjoy the video below while it heats up.
Ladies and gentlemen, I now present: “60 Hilarious Impressions In Under 20 Minutes.” Enjoy!
Alright, the pizza is all cooked up and now it’s time to sauce and season it up!
It doesn’t look that much different from the pizza box photo. Mine’s a little more well done though, that’s the way a pizza should be cooked.
Okay, now we’ll let it cool down a little. Only a fool eats a pizza straight out of the oven!
While it’s cooling down, check out Dave Portnoy’s review of the Home Run Inn pizza. It’s one bite and everyone knows the rules!
Okay, it’s time to sample this week’s frozen pizza.
It looks fantastic, it’s thin and crispy and the cheese cooked up nicely. Let’s take a bite and see how it tastes.
This is a tasty and delicious frozen pizza pie. Just the right amount of rich and creamy cheese on top and the sauce has tasty and has just the right amount of zing to it.
The crust is thin and crispy and this is a fabulous frozen pizza pie!
