If you’ve been following this corn dog tour, then you know I bought my own corn dog maker to occasionally make my own corn dogs right here in the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting area. About a month ago, I took the corn dog maker on the maiden voyage and cooked up two delicious mini corn dogs.
Korean corn dogs have been a big thing in the food community in the last year or so and I thought I’d like to try my own version of what I’m calling, The MBIP Asian Corn Dog!
So let’s step into the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area and…let’s cook!
We’re using the Johnsonville Beddar Cheddar Smoked Sausage for the hot dog portion of the corn dog and I got this corn dog batter mix on Amazon. The last time, I had to mix up the entire container which created a lot of waste, since I’m just making two mini corn dogs!
I marinated one of the sausage dogs in soy sauce for an Asian-infusion flavor to go along with the theme of these corn dogs.
This batter has 15 servings, there will still be a lot left over, but not nearly as much as last time!
I put in a little less water than suggested and then put in a liberal amount of soy sauce so the batter would have some Asian flavoring in it.
Speaking of Asian flavors, these are going to make an Asian-styled sauce to pour over the mini corn dogs. From left: Schezwan Peanut Sauce, Sweet Thai Chili Sauce, Soy Sauce and Hot Chinese Mustard.
I put the entire jar of the Chinese Hot Mustard and added liberal doses of the other Asian flavors and mixed them all together.
I took a taste and it is delicious and will be the perfect Asian-infused sauce for these corn dogs!
Speaking of corn dogs, there’s the official MBIP Cucina Pro Corn Dog Oven!
We’ll preheat it and spray it down with some Pam Cooking Spray.
Now we’ll dredge the dogs through the soy sauce infused batter and place them on the corn dog oven. I poured extra batter on top to insure good coverage.
Okay, five minutes later we have our cooked mini corn dogs and they are golden brown and look delicious!
I poured the warm Asian-styled sauce on them and I cannot wait to take a bite, so let’s go!
Holy screaming shitballs! These have so much flavor going on it’s insane!
The sauce has a lot of heat from the hot Chinese mustard and there’s also some rich and sweet flavor from the Schezwan Peanut Sauce and the Sweet Thai Chili Sauce.
The smoked sausage is savory and there’s tasty cheddar cheese oozing out of that adding even more flavor! The breading has a soy-infused flaove and is crispy on the outside and fulffy on the inside.
What a wonderful corn dog creation, if I do say so myself and I just did, so there!

CORN DOG RATING
{Based On A Four Corn Dog Rating System)
Once again, I know I’m biased because I know the guy who cooked these, but I have to go with four corn dogs!
This was a wonderful union of Asian flavors on an American classic treat!
