Live, from East Peoria, it’s Saturday Night, starring this week’s host, Johah’s Oyster Bar and featuring special guest stars, Amber, Joe, Angie, Nicole and Jeremy.

Now, please welcome, from over the river and through the woods in East Peoria, Jonah’s Oyster Bar!

Here we are at Jonah’s Oyster Bar. This is a seperate place from their Seafood House restaurant right next door.

Let’s go in and start our Saturday night adventure!

There’s the cigar/host station and the bar is right over there in the center of the dining room.

I think I see two familiar faces over there…

It’s Amber and Joe and tonight we’re celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary! I put up a special post last Saturday celebrating this occasion and I can’t believe that it’s been six years already!

Angie is our pretty and friendly waitress and she brought us drinks and took our dinner orders. Everything is going perfectly so far!

We got the Crab Tortilla Dip for an appetizer and it was so rich and tasty! The chips are homemade and this was a delicious start to our Saturday night dinner!

After the appetizer, I got up and took a few photos in the restaurant. Here’s a couple more photos of the bar. I love the dark atmosphere in here.

Check out their Christmas tree over here near the kitchen window. Very bright…and sparkly!

Nicole and Jeremy were seated in this booth over here and I’ve met them in my blogging travels and they shouted out to me and said hello. It was great to see them in here!

Meanwhile, back in our booth…

Our Saturday night dinner is served!

Amber got the French Onion Soup, Joe ordered the Filet Mignon Sandwich with Parmesan crusted Fries and I got the Parmesan Crusted Crab Quesadilla.

Everything looks absolutely fabulous!

The Crab Quesadilla was so delicious!

The corn tortillia is dusted with Parmesan cheese and it’s crispy and filled with a rich crab and cheese mixture inside. A tasty delight!

Amber and Joe loved their dinners as well and Amber said it was one of her favorite French Onion soups of all time!

I had told Angie that it was Amber and Joe’s sixth wedding anniversary at the beginning of dinner and she brought out this celebratory slice of chocolate cake for the occasion!

As you can see, Amber was ready to dig in to this sweet slice!
