Last Wednesday was the birthday of Keith Moon who was the drummer and the heart and soul of the band The Who.
He would have been 77-years-old today, but sadly his flame burned out on September 7th, 1978, when the madcap drummer overdosed on a drug he was taking to curb his alcoholism. Irony at its finest hour.
I loved The Who and always felt that they should’ve retired that name after Keith Moon died. As I said, he was the heart and soul of The Who and in honor of his birthday today, below are six links and a video from the short but crazy life of Keith Moon A.K.A. “Moon the Loon.”
And then there’s the MBIP Coming Attractions as to what’s happening on the blog next week.
