There’s a new bakery that just opened up a few months ago in the Shoppes at Grand Prairie and I thought it would be a good place to go and get our sixth cookie of this sweet 13 month series at.
And so it’s off to The Shoppes at Grand Prairies we go!
Here we are at Peoria’s newest bakery and coffee shop, the Bake & Brew Panaderia.
There’s the Fall Specials on display out on this sign.
Let’s go in and start our sixth cookie adventure in over a half a dozen months!
It’s very warm and welcoming in here and there’s a nice dining area if you choose to eat your baked goods right here at the bakery.
I like all the overhead lights in here too, very sparkly!
There’s some of the sweet baked inventory on display in these cases.
This is a family-owned, mother-daughter business and the daughter was showing me around on this day. She was a little camera-shy and didn’t want her photo taken, but she did let me take some pictures of their delicious baked goods and she told me that everything is made right here in-house and fresh baked daily.
They also have a nice selection of coffee in here, but we’re here for a cookie, so to hell with the coffee!
Happiness is Homemade and that’s what you’ll find in here! Everything looks absolutely delicious!
Here’s some of the cookies on display in glass cookie jars on top of this counter.
I asked the daughter-owner to pick her favorite cookie and I bought two of them and paid for them at the front counter in the bakery.
And then…
I retreated back to the MBIP World Headquarters to sample this month’s sweet cookie purchase.
The cookie, which was selected by the owner/daughter was the Mexican Wedding Cookie. I’ve never had a Mexican Wedding Cookie before, so I was happy with this selection. Always fun to try something new.
It’s a cookie that is covered in powdered sugar.
Inside it’s a tasty treat with chunks of almonds inside of this sweet cylindrical, powdered sugar cookie.
It’s a simple cookie but very impressive in its simplicity!
