Last Wednesday was the 25th anniversary of when the legendary TV series, The Sopranos debuted on HBO. The premiere episode aired on January 10, 1999.
The show was a huge hit and it ran for eight years. The last episode was aired on, June 10th, 2007.
It was a controversial ending to the series and I remember watching it and couldn’t believe that they ended the series that way and I didn’t get it. Truthfully, it still makes me wonder and so today I thought I’d post six links about this ending of The Sopranos that caused so much talk after it aired. And if by chance you’ve been under a rock and didn’t see it, I’ve also got a video link to that infamous closing Sopranos scene.
And of course, then there’s the MBIP Coming Attractions!

MBIP Coming Attractions
Monday: I’m still in partial quarantine mode from Covid until Tuesday. I’m in the last phase which is where they tell you, you can go to places, but wear a mask and don’t get close or interact much with people. So I got a take-out pizza, chicken wings and a cinnamon roll dessert from Nick-N-Willy’s in the Metro Centre. I got the pizza there that’s named after me, “The Wombacher!” You can check that out at tomorrow’s blog.
Tuesday: Again the partial quarantine came in to play for this week’s MBIP Corn Dog Tour. I got mini corn dogs to go from The Other Dawg and sampled them here at the MBIP World Headquarters. Tune in to see what kind of rating they got.
Wednesday and Thursday: I’m talking Wednesday and Thursday off to build up material for the blog. Covid kind of chewed through my backlog of material, so I’ll be taking these two days off.
Friday: We’ll be celebrating Friday with our weekly Friday Happy Hour post. I’m not sure where we’re going, but I’ll figure it out on my two days off!
Saturday: We’ll be looking backwards again as we present another, Meanwhile, Back In Peoria’s Past post.
