Craig Moore wears many hats in this town, he’s the owner of Younger Than Yesterday Records, he’s a musician, a troublemaker, a cat whisperer and a producer of musical events. Last week he put on his musician baseball cap and his producer of musical events sombrero and with the assistance of 3300 Event Center, he and a group of super-talented musicians put on two shows like Peoria has never seen before and probably never will again.
So if you missed it, you’d be somewhat shit out of luck, but lucky for you one thing will help you see what you missed and that one thing is me!
There were two shows last Friday and Saturday night that had completely different song sets and both were shows that celebrated 60 years of The Rolling Stones music. I went to both and was armed with the trusty MBIP Camera and took a ton of photos!
I took so many I had to make this a two part post. So here we go with part one, the Friday night show!
Pull up your socks and let’s go to the show!

Friday Night, November 29, 2024
Both shows happened here at the historical 3300 Event Center, your home for wonderful musical events!
Here we are inside and I always have to take a photo of the iconic Second Chance sign in the front foyer in here! That sign truly brings back some wonderful memories!
My table was up on the second floor and there’s the stage all set up for tonight’s show!
One of the fun things about going to shows like this is seeing so many friends and familiar faces I haven’t seen in a while!
Great to see everyone and thanks for posing for the MBIP Camera, all of you look absolutely fabulous!
And now…
Ladies and Gentlemen…It’s Only Rock ‘N Roll…The Friday Night Tribute To 60 Years Of The Rolling Stones!
The musicians have come out on stage and the show is beginning with much excitement and magic in the air!
The talented musicians assembled for tonight’s show include: Craig Moore, Dave Moe, Jon, Hill, Vinny Capello, Matthew James, Matthew Warren, Thomas Satterfield, Cindy Youngren, Chris Delbridge, Gary Lowell, Tom Stoner, Jim Curless, Brian Stear and Natalie Bashusen.
They sound fantastic and this is such a fantastic musical event! Some of the Rolling Stones songs so far include: I Wanna Be Your Man, It’s All Over Now, Little Red Rooster, Time Is On My Side and many others from the early Rolling Stones days.

Gonn Again!
Craig organized a reunion with his legendary garage rock band Gonn that formed in Keokuck, Iowa back in 1966.
All five original members came from all over the states to re-form for the show. Gonn members include: Craig Moore on bass and lead vocals, Gerry Gabel on keyboards and vocals, Rex Garrett on lead guitar, Gary Stepp on rhythm guitar and Brent Colvin on drums.
The band did a rocking set of early Rolling Stones songs that they played decades ago when the band was in its first stage. These guys sounded wonderful and proof that rockers can age like fine wine!
I saw them eight years ago when they played here in Peoria for their 50th anniversary show!
You’ll see more photos of them tomorrow, because they rocked out on both nights!
The lights went down for the next set which was a seated and somewhat unplugged portion of the show.
This was a unique touch and added a nice dimension to the songs and the evening.
Then the musicians plugged back in and we were treated to more fantastic versions of The Stones musical catalog including: Under My Thumb, Mother’s Little Helper, Get Off My Cloud, and Wild Horses amongst many other classic Stone’s songs.
This was one of the best shows I’ve ever attended and what a fantastic tribute to The Rolling Stones!
Thanks to Craig Moore and all of the wonderfully talented musicians for a magical and musical evening!
The stage emptied for the evening, but stay tuned for Part Two, tomorrow!
