Here we are at the Silver Bullet in East Peoria.

It’s been a while since we’ve been here, in fact it’s been almost eleven years! Time flies when you’re documenting Saturday night cheeseburger dinners!

Okay, let’s go in and start this week’s Saturday night cheeseburger adventure!

They have a nice and spacious dining area, but since I’m a party of one tonight, I think I’ll grab that empty seat at the end of the bar over there.

I think I see a familiar face behind the bar…

And it is indeed a familiar face, it’s John who’s been on the blog before. We met at one of his past bartending gigs, we just couldn’t remember which one!

John is now one of the owners here at the Silver Bullet, which is very cool!

They have a nice choice of cheeseburgers and John took my order and so now the evening has officially begun!

Ken was seated nearby me at the bar and he’s in town visiting from Duluth. Ken said he loves Peoria and he came to town to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day here!

They have two gaming areas in the two back corners of the establishment.

There’s also a back game room with tables, dart boards and a pool table. Nice!

Our Saturday night dinner is being served!

I started out with an order of the Hot Honey Shrimp.

These are fried shrimp tossed in house-made hot honey sauce.

These were so tasty and delicious! A nice combination of sweet and heat flavors. They’re served on a bed of potato chips which we can eat with the main course…

This week’s cheeseburger!

They have several styles of cheeseburgers on their menu and I chose the Texas Cheesy Calf.

This is a smash-styled burger topped with BBQ sauce, grilled onions and a melted cheese sauce, served on an onion bun.

I got a double burger and it looks and smells absolutely fabulous!

Wow, what a tasty and delicious cheeseburger!

The burger is seasoned nicely and the cheese sauce is rich and blends nicely with the tangy BBQ sauce and grilled onions.

This is one fantastic cheeseburger!

The Texas Cheesy Calf burger was so tasty and satisfying!

That melted cheese sauce really went well with the flavors from the BBQ sauce and the grilled onions. The smash burgers were cooked and seasoned to a savory perfection.

The icing on this tasty cheeseburger was the onion bun, it was toasted and bakery fresh. I always say that the bun can make or break the burger and this onion bun definitely took it up a notch on the old cheeseburger ladder!
