I first met Keith Cotton almost ten years ago in April of 2014 when I visited him at his photo studio he had on Prospect Avenue in Peoria Heights back then.
I loved his photography and he was a fun and interesting guy to hang out with. Keith is someone that Peoria is lucky to have living here. He’s a talented and unique photographer, artist, sculptor and all around nice and very talented person. His photography and arwork add a nice layer to our fabric here in Peoria.
It’s always a treat to run into him and chat and hang out and we just crossed paths a couple weeks ago when I was starting the MBIP macaroni and cheese tour at Publik House and Keith was there after attending the opening of his latest photo exhibition at the Bonnie W. Noble Center.
So of course I went and thoroughly enjoyed the exhibitIon which is titled, “COLLECTION.”
Below are the photos from my afternoon at the exhibition.
Here we are at the Betty W. Noble Center off of Lake Avenue near University Street.
There’s the sign for Keith’s show.
The photos I took are below, but you need to go and experience them in person to truly enjoy the beautiful photography of Keith Cotton on display here.
Keith’s artist statement is posted at the end of the post and please take a moment to read his summation of this unique and wonderful photography exhibition.
Enjoy!
You can see more of Keith’s work and read more about him by checking out his website here: Keith Cotton Photography,
Thanks to Keith for sharing his wonderul and beautiful work with all of us here in Peoria!
