The Red Barn has been standing tall in the same spot here in Peoria since the early ’60’s.
It’s definitely an iconic Peoria institution, so let’s go take a look and start this weekend with a celebration of photos and thoughts about one of Peoria’s most historic taverns, the Red Barn!
Here we are at the Red Barn, definitely one of Peoria’s most iconic and beloved buildings!
I just noticed that at the top of the front window, they have the latitude and longitude statistics!
Okay, now that we know that, let’s go in and take a look around in here!
The bar is just as unique as the outside and it’s a barn within a barn!
Katelyn was the bartender on duty and she’s a veteran here at the Red Barn. She’s been tending bar for over eight years, great to see her smiling face again!
There’s the back of the bar with Spuds McKenzie and one of the last Little Nut Huts in town!
They’ve got a half a dozen beers on tap back there for your drinking pleasure!
There’s booths and graffiti covered tables opposite the bar and Iove the vintage Beatles framed photos on the walls. Yeah, yeah and…yeah!
Check out the pay phone on the wall! A true blast from the past!
There’s tables and a stage in the back room for live music and comedy here at the Red Barn.
This wall is covered with vintage photos and set lists from the past.
My favorite is the tribute to the owner of the Red Barn, Buffalo Dan!
There’s a nice gaming area set up on the side wall over here.
