Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night Cheeseburger starring this week’s host, Agatucci’s and featuring special guest stars, Danny, Joe, Garrett and Tony.
Now please welcome this week’s cheesy host, Agatucci’s!
Here we are at Agatucci’s for another Saturday Night Cheeseburger episode.
\We did a MBIP Saturday Night Cheeseburger post here over eleven years ago. Check that post out by clicking here.
Wow, can’t believe that was over a decade ago! As I always say, fun flies when you’re having time!
Before we go in, check out the Agatucci’s banner on the side wall. They just uncovered that and it’s a real chunk of history.
Their facecrack post tells the story.
Okay, let’s go in and begin this week’s Saturday Night Cheeseburger adventure!
There’s the bar and since I’m dining alone tonight, that’s where I’m going to have this week’s cheeseburger dinner. Let’s go snag a seat and get settled in!
There’s Danny Agatucci mixing a drink behind the bar. Always great to see him in here!
Joe and Garrett were also working behind the bar.
They both were excited to show off their thumbs and I love to see that thumb pride in young men! Thumbs up, fellows!
Some things in here have to be photographed on every visit including the vintage Hamm’s beer sign behind the bar, the stained glass Michelob lamp hanging over the bar and the wine botttle chandeliers that loom over the booths oppostie the bar.
And the dining room leads us to two more unique items in Agatucci’s and they’re both clocks.
There’s the St. Louis Cardinals Budweiser neon clock and the classic backwards Agatucci’s Pizza clock on the dining room wall. I love it!
There’s a back dining room in here and there was a party going on in the corner. Woo and hoo!
Meanwhile, back at the bar…
Tonight’s Saturday night cheeseburger meal has arrived and I have special plans for this cheesy dinner.
As i said earlier, eleven years ago I had the cheeseburger here and it was good, but it’s got a lot of competition on the Agatucci’s menu. It’s competing with their legendary pizza, the pasta and the time-honored fried chicken recipe that’s been passed down through the years, so it’s kind of easy to overlook it on their menu of tasty and historic food items.
Well, I thought of an Agatucci’s food hack that changes all of that and I’m going to create a secret new Agatucci’s menu item that is available starting right now. Well, they’re closed tonight and tomorrow, so starting this Wednesday when they open up for this coming week.
Above are an appetizer order of the Fried Ravioli, a small plastic bucket of the homemade marinara sauce and their cheeseburger.
This is a simple, yet extraordinary food hack that I’m especially proud of inventing.
Take two of the fried ravioli and place them under the burger on the bottom bun. Then pour half of the marinara sauce on top of the raviolis.
Put the burger back on top of them and add the other two ravioli squares on top of the burger. Then add the remainder of the sauce and put the bun back on top and…voilà!…you have made…
The Womburger!
This is the new secret Agatucci’s menu item! It’s a saucy, fried ravioli cheeseburger and it looks absolutely fabulous!
And as good as it looks, it tastes even better!
The bun is toasted and bakery fresh, the burger is cooked and seasoned perfectly and the fried ravioli and homemade marinara sauce take this cheeseburger to a fantastic flavor level.
You can read more about this in the cheeseburger rating below, but trust me, this is one cheeseburger food hack you need to try!
After this unbelievable cheeseburger dinner, Tony came out and I gave him and Danny an Easter card. It was addressed to a “Couple of good eggs, Tony and Danny” and it featured an Easter cartoon that I drew and we’re all going to hell for laughing at.
Thanks to Tony, Danny and everyone at Agatucci’s for another fun evening at one of Peoria’s classic and historic restaurants, Agatucci’s!

CHEESEBURGER RATING
I have to say, I’m incredibly proud of this cheeseburger food hack and I suggest you try this out. The fried ravioli add a crunchy and tasty consistency to the Agatucci’s cheeseburger and the toasted and bakery fresh bun and homemade marinara sauce took it to a fabulous and flavorful level.
I’ve literally eaten over a thousand cheeseburgers in my fourteen years of blogging and I can honestly say that this is one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever had!
The newly christened “Womburger” at Agatcucci’s gets an ultra high rating of three and three quarters Wimpys.
Stop in and try this cheeseburger hack as soon as you can! It’s highly recommended!
