I’ve had some really sweet and delicious cookies on this tour, but it’s the 13th month and time to pick a winner, my favorite cookies out of the dozen different places we sampled cookies from.
And if you’ve read the title of this, you know the winner and my favorite cookie came from one of Peoria’s newest businesses, Voila! Macarons By Diana. I’ll explain my reason for choosing this cookie below.
I’ve got a special MBIP Award Plaque for this sweet and prestigious moment, so let’s get over there!
Here we are at Voila! Macarons By Diana in the Windsor Square strip mall off of University Street.
Owner and baker, Diana Natale started this business by first selling her baked goods at local markets and two years ago she opened this retail space.
Let’s go inside and see what’s happening in here today!
Wow, I’m not the only one who stopped by today! There’s quite a crowd in here, so let’s take a look around and let Diana take care of business.
As you can see, there’s more to shop for in here than just her delicious cookies. There’s all kinds of interesting items in here so let’s browse for a bit and take a look around in here.
Diana also makes custom candles and there’s also handbags, t-shirts and towels over here.
She’s got the book, “Father’s Feathers” by local author, MacKenzie Nelson in here along with other works of art and cards by local artists. I love the support shown in here for these local writers and artists.
Custom-made jewelery made by local jewelers is on display on these tables lining the far wall over here.
Diana is still busy with a customer over at the front counter, so we’ll keep wandering around and takeing photos of the fun stuff inside of this magical shop!
Of course the star of the show in here is the delicious and house-made macaron cookies.
Diana offers over 40 flavors of this unique and tasty cookie along with holiday inspired seasonal flavors.
She recently added Macarons Cakes as well as Macarons Ice Cream Sandwiches to the menu during the summer months.
Diana does catering packages for weddings, parties and events and you are free to book time to discuss dates and situations with Diana.
There’s a nice area over here to sit and enjoy your sweet treats and an article about Diana and the shop hangs on the wall. You can check out the article by clicking here.
Okay, it looks like Diana finally has a free moment, let’s go give her the MBIP Best Baker’s Dozen Award!
There she is unwrapping it and she was happy and surprised to receive it!
The Best Of The Baker’s Dozen, congratulations, Diana, on your well-deserved award!
If you’ve never sampled these delightful and tasty, freshly baked cookies, you need to stop by and try them out. There’s always a nice variety of flavors available and they are a tasty delight.
They’re sweet, but not overly sweet and there’s such a nice blend of crispy and creamy textures making these the best cookies in the Peoria area.
Diana is celebrating her two-year anniversary in this location on Thursday, June 6th, from noon to 2pm with a special live in-store radio simulcast with Roxy on 105.7 The X Rocks! Stop by for the party, cookies and unlimited anniversary fun!
Congratulations to Diana and Voila! Macarons for winning the Best of the MBIP Baker’s Dozen. And check out all the other businesses we sampled listed below, they also had sweet treats that we enjoyed on this 13 month cookie tour!
