Now please, welcome, this week’s host on this Memorial Day holiday, Alwan And Sons Luncheon Grill!

Okay, since it’s Memorial Day and a lot of people will be grilling outside today, I thought I’d have a rare Saturday Afternoon Cheeseburger place from Alwah & Sons Meat Company Luncheon Grill. Here we are at Alwan & Sons on War Memorial Drive in Peoria Heights.

And there’s another one over here on the side of the building. Okay, everybody all together at once: Moo!

The luncheon grill is open! Let’s go get in line!

Wow, there’s a lot of other people that had the same idea I had, this is quite a line! Hopefully it’ll move fast, I’m starving like you know who over here.

There’s the menu and yes, Virginia, there is a cheeseburger on it. Whew!

The line is moving fast and we’re almost there. I wish this guy would quit talking on is phone, but what are you going to do?

And we’re here! Here’s the nice, smiling people working the counter and grill and I also got a lemonade shake-up drink from this pretty woman!

I didn’t get any names because there was a long line of people behind me wondering why I was holding everything up by taking these photos! Thanks for playing along everyone!

There’s picnic tables over here across from the parking lot and I decided to sit down at this one and here’s this week’s cheeseburger dinner all laid out!

I got a cup of pasta and a bag of Kitchen Cooked potato chips for my side dishes and they were delicious. Now on to the star of today’s luncheon show…

This week’s cheeseburger! In addition to the fresh onions I also added a squirt of the homemade barbecue sauce. Let’s take a bite and try it out!

This is one tasty grilled cheeseburger! It’s topped with melted cheddar cheese, the onions add a nice taste and texture and the bun is bakery fresh.
